I luv where this machine takes us......
Heading out from my Pop's home where I grew up, Bike is FULLY LOADED.
I rode to the Rock Store 35 years ago and there was only a few bikes at the time, now it's a freaking Madhouse!
Still fun but a lot different
There's some bikes there that you do not see very often especially a two stroke in California.
Unloaded the luggage after a great ride up HWY 1.
Blackie performed Flawlessly....
It's gonna be a rough time.....
When I posted this last night all the pictures were there but they disappeared so excuse the double post.
Haven't been keeping up with current models.
What is that bike. It looks like it would be really comfortable for taller riders.
She's a 2001 FZ1 Gen1, my 2nd one luv these bikes for what they are capable of doing.
You can find great deals on the Gen1's.
Mine had 17,000 miles and I got her for $2900 four years ago.
Yes she sits tall (good eye) as after the mods she came with (seat, shock and fork) I also run her stiff as the majority of my riding is 2up. At stoplights I'm on my tiptoes 36" inseam.
Fully loaded for a Road Trip with our weight and gear I would guesstimate close to 400 lbs and she handles it really good.
This is just after the Rock Store on Mulholland Drive.
Google it all the yahoos crash here when the cameras come out. I didn't even know they took this photo until I got home and found it on the interwebs...

Cool pic Void, what kind of saddlebags are those my friend gave me a set and I used them my first time on Silver but it was a tricky to set them up so they would not rub the paint off the side panels.
Blackie came with a Ventura Tail Bag setup and I bought the Touring Bag.
It holds a LOT of crap.
Traveling with a girl for six days the bags are STUFFED.
Well the vacation is winding down and I headed home here's my story.....
]
When the moon set on the Ocean Horizon it turned Orange like the Sun, it was pretty cool and I do not ever recall seeing that before.
All packed and ready to hit the road down Highway 1....
Four hours of Fun later and I'm ready to jump in the pool at Pops place, my former home.....
Hope you enjoyed the pics.....
