It's funny in a kind of juvenile sort of way.
What I don't get is this part.
A mother who lives in Okanogan who took pictures of the drawings reached out to KREM 2 to complain about the images, saying she was upset she might have to explain to her young children what the drawings were.
A mother was upset because she may or may not have to do somehting?
"Mom, what's the in the sky?"
"Well Johnny, it's a big penis."
She could also just say I don't know.
Is it really that upsetting??
Right??
"Mommy, what is that?"
-It's a figure eight and a big loop.
-It's like a racetrack
-It's vapor trails from the airplanes
-Or, like you said, "I don't know."
If the kids aren't old enough to know what it is, then they won't be scarred for life, trust me. Even if they do know what it is, they won't be scarred for life. Even if they somehow believe that everything will be perfectly OK unless they see a giant dick in the sky, in which case they would be scarred for life.... they won't be scarred for life. Yeah, basically this is a non-problem.
Braaapin' aint easy.
When did cowboy hats become offensive?
I can do anything, I'm an expert.

I find it sad that pilots can't joke around anymore without getting into trouble. That actually takes a good amount of skill to pull off. Those are good 7G Turns on the nuts, and extremely well executed navigation to keep the lines parallel on the shaft. For the NAVY to call this maneuver "Of no training value whatsoever" is to openly admit that whoever wrote that comment has no idea how to fly an F-18 because to make a precise cock in the sky, at that altitude, and with that precision, is no little thing...
(sorry, lifted that comment from someone on facebook)
Wow
That shit is funny.
That shit is cool.
Up-tight people need to get a life,
Nobody ever told me, I found out for myself. You've got to believe in foolish miracles. It's not how you play the game, it's if you win or lose. You can choose. Don't confuse. Win or lose. It's up to you!

Boom! That's fucking awesome....lol
The aircrew should just tell their superiors that they were just trying to rough out a basic outline of an Arby's hat.......
Totally agree about the uptight, offended mom. Just say, "I don't know" and move on. And as a Navy veteran....well played gentleman, well played.
I thought it was funny, but the Navy has been taking some hits lately with the collisions amongst other things. These pilots had to know upper management wouldn't be pleased with what the general public might view as a frat boy stunt with multimillion dollar aircraft. If you embarrass the bosses you better be ready face the consequences.
My wife calls you guys the Yahoos.
When I lived in Moses Lake in the mid 90s, Japan Air Lines was still training every one of their pilots at the old Larson base. They also ran all their new planes there for a while for "break in" periods. It was cheaper to do everything out of Moses Lake because you could almost guarantee a sunny day in any part of the year.
At any given moment you could almost guarantee a JAL plane was taking off or landing down there.

Radio people are like get him out of those planes what else is he gonna do?
Bro he drew a dick. And they were training. No big deal when they draw X’s.....or will you marry me. But a dick? Good lord. Probably takes some pretty intuitive teamwork to collaborate with the controllers to make that happen. I’d rather have that team flying missions any day over my head. . .

Coincidence. Probably some jockeys from a VAQ squadron off the island. There are a couple great low level routes like 1355 they fly alot.
