I appreciate snakes for their efficiency in reducing the rat and mouse population. After the coyotes showed up here the outdoor cats disappeared and the rat population boomed. Then there were more snakes around the houses but way fewer rats and mice. Yea snakes.

crazy.

couple years ago i was riding some high-mountain single track and came up on a rattlesnake coiled up in the middle of the trail. i was doing about 15-20 mph and had no time to try to stop. little fucker struck at me and glanced off the side of my bike. i almost wrecked trying to avoid it, scared the living shit out of me.

I run over a few snakes a year here in Texas. Never stop to see what kind it is.

I had an armadillo run between my tires one time. Damn near made me break my shit. I was clipped in and everything. Somehow saved it.
