Just thought I’d share a story of caution on my dealings with Sirius XM.
I purchased a new truck on September 18, 2017 and got 3 months of free XM with it. I never used it once in the 4 months I’ve had the truck. I magically got a bill for $58.94 today stating I agreed to a 6 month discount package. I proceeded to call and speak with a csr who I could barely understand. I then got hung up on after I stated my name and address to 3 people. So I call back and go through the same jargin again. This csr tells me I verbally committed to extending my service, which I’ve never used once, on October 17th. A Sirius XM rep called me on October 17th and proceeded to hard sell me and badger me about extending service and taking a deal. I declined and thought that was the end of this, until today. The last CSR I spoke with told me she cancelled my 6 month contract but I still had to pay $10.12 for the service since December 16th up until today. We proceeded to argue about this balance and I stated I would not pay it and she claimed she would send it to collections before she hung up on me. What a crappy company and horrible customer service! Glad I never listened to your crap in the first place!

The Shop
How exactly did they get your credit-card number?
Or do you mean they sent you an invoice wanting you to pay?
When I bought a new vehicle that had XM radio, after the initial 3 months free it turned off. I then proceeded to receive a lot of calls from XM, and a ton of invoices, marketing materials, sales junk in the mail.
Never had to call them to cancel anything.
Never again. Radio and MP3's are free.
i have the basic package and use the hell out of it, but yeah, their customer service is the fuckin' worst.
I couldn’t justify the price hikes every year either. I have to say canceling the service was one the most miserable experiences of my life. Every other service on the planet you can cancel over the Internet, but not these guys. You have to call, go through the menus, then speak with someone and when you say I want to cancel, they transfer you to the “specialist.”
This person did everything they could and tried all angles to prevent me from canceling. They wound up with we’ll give you six months free, and 6 months for like $5. I said you could always give me that price, you ripped me off all these years.
It devolved into me just repeating “I want to cancel” no matter what they said. Probably 20 times or better. That’s all I said.
Finally got the point. They mailed me stuff for a long time but finally gave up. Thank god!
I've never had any issues with customer service.
My wife got a new car this summer and when the trial ended, they called a few times and I received junk mail, but that was it. They cancelled automatically.
for sure if you cancel, or threaten to, you can get a similar deal to what the rapper from ohio said above me.
What I find weird is how often I lose a signal downtown, and there are only a few large buildings (6-9 stories) in our little city of about 50,000.
Does it even work in big cities?
I think they have me now though even though I only listen to one station.
Pit Row
I like patriotxm, turbo and octane.
