I watched it last night. I did notice the one interview was edited to favor an opinion.
As a fisherman and spearo, my only belief is take what you need to feed your family.

I agree. But as far as the documentary goes, even if it's slanted a bit there's still a huge problem with over-fishing our oceans. I live in the water and see it first hand. Those nets are dragging all of the fish out of the ocean and I think the film does a good job to portray what the effects will be from over-fishing.

That’s true. I see nets all over the rivers I fish left on the banks by tribes. It’s frustrating. I know they only fish to sell the roe (eggs) for the most part and toss the fish.
Commercial fishing is a huge problem. I agree wholeheartedly. As a private citizen, there isn’t much I can do other then my part by, selective spear fishing.

This pic was taken about 7 years ago and made quite the buzz. Wasted fish on the Skokomish river. Saddening to say the least. Tons of wasted salmon.

I don’t trust any documentary these days...they are all so slanted they have no credibility. With creative editing you can make any issue look however you want. When the creators/funders have an obvious motive I dismiss it entirely.

I thought it was an interesting documentary considering they really have no way to prove its dolphin safe tuna and that the organization is making bank off a nonsense sticker. And although the Japan stuff looked sketchy for sure, most people wouldn't like to be filmed in their job no matter the circumstances.

Shark fin soup is dumb as hell. Just cruel.

I liked the Icelandic Whaler saying "I rather take one whale life than 2000 chickens. One life and the same amount of meat."

I also went straight to sushi after watching the film.

If it's on Netflix it's likely not worth watching.
You could probably say the same about the other big streamers too.

I cut marine life out of my diet for 14 years after seeing dolphins caught in shrimp nets firsthand in the Gulf. But once I had shrimp/crab again, I couldn't stop. So damn tasty.

I just watched that, kinda makes you hate the human race in full. Fake or real the damage plastic has done is saddening. I recently stopped using plastic water bottles, now i use re useable bottles.
