Robert Cray Band quick review

The Robert Cray Band played at the recently re-modeled Celebrity Theatre last week, and it was a great show. With the rotating stage, there is no bad seat in the house & we were lucky enough to be row eight.

Guitar Shorty from Texas opened the show and got the crowd in the mood.

This was the third time I’ve seen Cray and I believe it was the best one yet. His music is really solid, and I was kind of surprised that the small theatre (capacity of 2500), was not sold out, but it was a Thursday night.

I don’t think I could ever go to another concert venue where you pay outrageous prices, and they are so far away that you can barely see them. Johnny Lang another good Blues Musician will be in town June 12th and I don’t see how I can miss it.

Just a heads up to my fellow Zonies, you won’t be disappointed.

Don't know if I'd go that far as that other young white blues guitarist seems closer. I can't think of his name right now.

Cray has a different style of his own that is very unique.
