Me and the girlfriend are planning a trip to Texas around April. We will be there for 2 weeks.
I roughly put some destinations on google maps:
does this seems like a trip worth doing?
What are the things that we really need to visit?

Dallas and Fort Worth have a lot to do. Chicks usually like the aquarium in dallas. There are several quality craft breweries if you like beer. If you wanted to duck a little further south, you could hit the casino at Shreveport.
It's always fun to get on the ferry in Galveston and go across the ship channel. You can usually see dolphins if you watch for them. There is a restaurant called Stingarees. It's a bit of a dive but it's got good food and it's literally right next to a cargo ship run and you can watch ships go by while you have a drink or two.
Before hitting Luling, you could drop down to Shiner and tour the brewery for a few free samples!
If your trip is in any way moto related there are half a dozen tracks off the top of my head you should hit up in the DFW area. Underground MX, Oak Hill MX, River Valley, Village Creek, Edge, Johnsonville, and Swan a little further south just to name a few. If you do head south on 45 there are even more tracks near Houston like Rio Bravo or 3 Palms.

It's Ohio in the vid, but most states will do.
Doing basically everything by ourself we were able to save some money. So after all the hard work the last few years we treated ourselves with a trip to texas next year. We will go in April. How will the weather be ?
I've roughly put some destinations on google maps. Any ideas/ alternatives are more than welcome.
We will be there for about two weeks. Big bend will put us on the road for about 16 hours. Is it worth it?
There are (in my opinion) three distinct areas of the Texas back country that are worth the trip... ...and I am simplifying this quite a bit…
West Texas - sweeping views and lonely at times….
South Texas (Gulf coast) – salty air and big beaches you can drive onto…
East Texas – forests and swamps, and that “largest” knife store that I can’t remember where is exactly…
…again, I am simplifying, pick one (or two) of those areas of Texas while driving the back roads and you will have a trip you can look back on without regret…
...edit...
If you can put off the trip till the week of April 8 2024, you will be able to witness a Solar Eclipse across Texas. My wife and went up to Nebraska a few years back to get outselves into the path of totality out on a lonely back road and it was a lot of fun.
...EDIT to add eclipse path map...

...Oklahoma would be better though...
I have a strong west end Galveston bias, but I'd suggest going from Galveston thru San Luis Pass to Surfside, to hug the coast as much as possible towards 35.
I've never been to big bend so can't comment.... Texas is freaking huge!! haha
Free travel guide. Just might have some interesting things to consider.
Grabbed a photo example quickly, this one's by Laura Vu and looks like central Texas:
How's the Texas coastline ? Let's say between Galveston en Port Aransas?
What about the ranches? Are they all spread out over Texas? Or is their a specific region ?
The coast gets better the further south you go.
The Trinity river delta keeps the water muddy around Galveston.
Do a satellite search and you can see where it turns blue again.
Any experiences to share about BIG bend ? We're going 1 or 2 days. I know it's big. But can you drive around the park easily?
Pit Row
heard that one a while back ... still makes me laugh.
Some call it "twisted sisters".
