So much of the Pink Floyd sound was generated by Richard Wright. Gilmour and Waters got the headlines but in my opinion this guy set the mood for so many Pink Floyd songs.
One of the classic intros ever:

The lyrics are great too.

He gets way too little credit for what he brought to their sound.

He had a great solo album, "Wet Dream", in 1978.

Pink Floyd is my favorite band of all time, and you are correct about Wright. Since his passing, both Waters and Gilmour have acknowledged his contributions to the band. Much like Gilmour, I don't think Wright ever wanted to draw attention to himself. Between Waters and Gilmour fighting, he kind of was shuffled to the back, but there are so many Floyd songs that would not be the same without his amazing talents on a keyboard.
