Glen Campbell gone at 81 years old.
My Dad always had an 8 track tape of Glen playing in the truck when taking me to the track or to the desert to ride as a kid back in Arizona. Even used to watch him on TV growing up. Lots of memories for me.
Glen had some tough times later in life with alcohol abuse and as a victim of Alzheimer's disease.

For what it's worth my Dad is now struggling through the final stages of Alzheimer's at the age of 81.

RIP Mr. Campbell
I remember reading the song writer (Jimmy Webb) sent Wichita to Campbell without an ending.
He called to see if they were interested in recording the song and was shocked to hear not only were they interested they recorded it without a proper ending!
A lot of people dont know that Glen sold more records in 1968 than the Beatles did (a big deal at the time), and his Goodtime Hour TV show was so diverse he helped launch many careers for artists who just couldnt get national exposure until he put them on his show. He never forgot his humble beginnings as a farm boy from Delight, Arkansas.
