I'm gutted.
I first met Vinnie and Darrell in 1983 at a record store in Six Flags Mall in Arlington TX when they were promoting their new album and cassette (remember those?) Metal Magic.
Had the chance to see them live many times and run into them at various venues in North Texas over the years and after Pantera and Darrell's tragic death, Vinnie while in Hellyeah. I wasn't a friend or anything but after numerous encounters and interactions, they were always very approachable and laid back Texas people.
Sad, Sad day and big loss. A great legacy of music and groundbreaking groove metal left behind for eternity though.
Sucks big. I lived in a house owned by them and i have a few vhs c tapes of us partying that i never want my kids to see in the attic. At one point they were GODSize!! RIP with your brother and slam back a few blacktooth grin style.
RIP VINNIE!!!
