This sucks! Just think about it for a second, today, we lost fucking Eddie Van Halen. Absolute legend! One of the best to EVER play a guitar. RIP!

In the 6th grade, I saved my money and bought 1984 on cassette. Literally wore the tape out playing it so much on my walkman road tripping to races..... Thank you Eddie for all the good times throughout my life, rest in peace. God Bless.

Long story short. I brought 3 oz of Red Leb back from England in 1978. My brother said, "hey, there's a kick ass new band playing at the Cains ballroom in Tulsa...you wanna go?" We shoved a couple of the cafeteria tables up against the stage. I started loading bowls. Half way through the show David was standing on our table. He asked me what I was loading. I traded a huge bowl for a bottle of Jack. They were happy...we were happy. Eddie was fucking incredible on that first tour....even stoned to the bone on my hash. I am trying to get my old Harmon Kardon repaired because there ain't nothing else that can play Eddie that loud and clean. RIP guitar God.

I was a junior in high school when Van Halen 1 came out. “Game changer “ is such an over used cliche, but fuck they were.
Rip goat Sad

Eddie Van Halen is who made me want to pick up the guitar and learn to play. When I first heard Eruption, I thought the tapping was a computer. Eddie was innovative, creative, and made playing the guitar look and sound fun. The best every. RIP.

Heard this today going to work,
I'm 57 and Listening/ Going to VH concerts were our thing. Been to 5 of them and being to their last in RedRocks was good times.
The best was at PINE KNOB in Detroit. Audience was pumped, Band was feeling it, It was Rockin. 4 Encores
Hopefully each of you have had this experience with a Band you enjoy.

Catching this from the radio It hit hard
Scottie says every April 5th about Kurt Cobain. (This day April 5th.......)
I didn't get into Nirvana. If the lyrics speak to you I get it.
Van-Halen was a Pioneer/Virtuoso in the music world that ROCKED Kids like me.

Calibrated with many famous band including Run DMC, Micheal Jackson ect...

RIP Eddie, you made a difference

Definitely one of the Greats!
Van Halen ruled and Hot for Teacher was one of the coolest music videos ever.

They grew up in the town next to me which was Eagle Rock, they were in Pasadena and played in one of our high school parties in the 70's before they hit the Big time.
True Story 😎

2020 sux!
