Let’s see them.

That’s Gus McCrae on the left. He’s a two year old Red Heeler/ Border Collie X. Deaf as a tick, but super intelligent.

On the right is Shunka. She’s a 4 year old Minnie Aussie/Blue Heeler X.

My little right hand man. His only down fall is a severe fear of thunder. No issues with gun shots or fireworks, it's just thunder.

Take him to the bowling alley. You’ll either prove or disprove that thunder is just the angels bowling…

Borders are some of the most intelligent and sweetest dogs I’ve ever encountered.

My boy Gus just got hit by a truck and cattle trailer. I’m headed in Albuquerque now to emergency vet, please pray for us. Those two dogs are all I’ve got left

I am so sorry, that is terrible. In my opinion and experience the only good coping method is a puppy when things settle. One dog never replaces another but fortunately most can find their own special place in your heart.

Furthermore to my posts in the threads about the sad passings of the dear pets...

If anyone in UK is looking for a Dog (a rescued Dog) then PM me- my Mother rescues abused and homeless dogs, has done so for the last 35 years. We have a few right now that could be possibly be rehomed to the correct suitable homes and environments. Sadly US not possible given the demographics of transporting them as well as the possible trauma.

Most of my Mothers dogs are from Spain, mainly dogs that were homeless and had a hard time.

So if anyone in UK is looking for a dog and will be a loving home then PM me, it could work if you can give the dog a loving and supportive home and life.
We have had so many rescue dogs and rehomed them over the last 35 years to lovely homes for the best part.

God bless to all you amazing dog loving people! Am going to show the recent dog threads to my Mom, she will be touched I'm sure.

My two beagles Cali and Coco. Cali will be 12 next month, she’s been my ride or die since college and has gotten me through some hard times. Coco is 2 and was intentionally brought in to learn Cali’s ways before it was too late, this was at a time when I absolutely did not need the extra work but I’m glad I did. Their best buds now and the pup wound up with a great demeanor just like her teacher Sideways .

We have had alot of Beagles and Beagle types over the years- way cool- they are often such gentle, calm and also sensitive dogs we have found. What nice pictures and story.
Its amazing how our pets seem to support us through the hardest of times.

I have 2 cats- 'Smokey and Kitten' that support and please me through the hardtimes, especially with the Covid.

- they are Ocicats- we have a blast everyday and night !! Never a dull moment! They are both quite big- the blonde one is massive- weighs like 8Kg

Some of the things they do are really funny- they like breaking things and doing tricks! They both actually jump on my head and shoulders and refuse to get off. Pair of lunatics.Shocked They also spend every minute together- are two brothers- were rescued cats from Spain. Pure bred Ocicats- are some cruel breeders who dump the Kittens if they do not sell- as was the case with these two- cutest pair you could imagine! They all cuddle each other all the time! Do everything together- eat, sleep and play.

Super pics! That is funny- we have some that interact like that together despite being the very best of friends! I totally understand. hahaha- you can sort of understand the expressions and faces and what they are saying- whilst playing basically.Laughing

My Mom will love these pics! Dogs are just so cool and the funny things they do- as said, the connection when they support us also is just incredible. For sure... 'mans best and loyal friend ...'
what a bond we seem to make with our pets and how we serve them whilst they serve us.

I really think Moose is part Beagle. Not only are his eyes and snout similar to your Coco, but the way he sniffs really seems more like a job than normal dog curiosity. Funny thing, though, he looks nothing like his brothers from the same litter. They're all completely black or dark brown, and if anything, look more Shiba (their mom is at least half Shiba) than Beagle/Jack Russel like Moose

This is Maggie, Jack Russell who we adopted just over two years ago and Bailey a Weimaraner mix.

I held out on posting pics as Maggie seemed to be having stomach issues and would barely eat or drink. She use to woof down her food so it has me concerned.

Took her to the Vet Tuesday and still waiting for blood results but she seems to be getting better. This is from today when I got home from work and luv her smile. 😀

Sorry to hear that, is it recent? Will that type of dog pack hunt?

It has been a year, but we still miss him.

They are afghan hounds, and were bred as sighthounds to chase down gazelle, etc. They are very fast and athletic.

Not sure about pack hunting, but I have seen them work together to surround a squirrel or rabbit in the back yard.

They get a bad rap as being 'stupid', but they were bred to work independently without direction, so they are not very good at 'stupid pet tricks'

Sight hounds were/are used mainly in packs. Ranchers would use small packs of Greyhounds to hunt coyotes back when I lived in California. You can see how pack like they are in the pic. Sight hounds are one of the only working dogs that strongly maintain an ability to work in a pack. Most hounds still have some ability,(Beagles, Fox Hounds ext), but they are more a group of individuals chasing an animal, where sight hounds really know how to communicate and work together.

Beautiful dogs, Sorry you and them lost their buddy.
