My daughter, who used to go with me to the San Diego SX every year
and some outdoor races is graduating tomorrow from college with 2
majors, aerospace engineering and applied mathematics. Pretty
challenging stuff. She likes to tell me about the stuff she's learning
but most of the time I have to nod and say uh huh because it's way over
my head. Anyway, it's kind of surreal still that this is finally happening.
You work your whole life for days like this, proudest Dad ever!!

As a parent of a math major, that's some real difficult stuff to juggle. Congrats to her!

Good for you, Toolmaker, and congrats to your daughter. Her boyfriend looks familiar in that picture. Does he race motocross? Grinning

Congratulations. I understand the feeling.

30 years ago I became a single dad raising my 3 year old daughter. I didn't know at the time that the best days of my life would be her HS and college graduation. And two weeks ago when we celebrated my grandsons 1st birthday.

Aerospace is pretty cool stuff, got a couple buddies who went that way. I joined the aerial robotics team but never had the interest to do that for a living. Very difficult major, we still don't totally understand everything so there's some opportunities to really advance science there. Good luck to her in her future endeavors and congratulations to you for raising a good kid!

Btw, is she single? TongueGrinning

That's awesome, congratulations to you and her. My oldest daughter just got accepted to an aerospace engineering camp this summer, hopefully it sparks an interest and she follows through on it. She's real nervous though, that's some tough stuff.

Wow TM, that is awesome. You are blessed to have a beautiful and very bright daughter there. Congrats to you both.

I can sort of relate. My oldest daughter graduates HS with honors this weekend and starts college this fall. Time goes so fast. I remember her riding her PW50 at 5 years old like it was yesterday.

Congrats to you and the daughter, ToolMaker!

Lots of aerospace jobs near home, too, if she wants to stay close.

Turns out, these Millennials aren't as lazy and entitled as some people would like to believe.

My daughter is a year away from her Masters' in geology.

I have no idea what she's planning to do with it, but she loves the science, so...

Probably a good thing her husband is graduating next week with degrees in accounting and finance.
