Pit Row
Tried calling you earlier, seeing if you want to head out in my "Purple Rain" boat sometime.
But yes turned out that I grew to appreciate his music as genius and versatility was great.
Way back in the early eighties, my girlfriend and I went to a Rolling Stones concert in the Los Angeles Coliseum the opening act was Prince and nobody knew who he was after about the third song The Rock and Roll drunk and high crowd was booing him soon they were throwing bottles and they stopped playing Mick Jagger came out on stage grab the mic and said hey if you guys don't stop and give this guy respect we're not coming out things calmed down considerably after that. LoL
True Story !
Always loved the Purple Rain soundtrack.....
He also didn't hesitate to speak his mind about politics, TPTB, and the cabal known as "the Hollywood music industry." RIP.
"Manic Monday" is a song by the American pop rock band The Bangles, and the first single released from their second studio album, Different Light (1986). It was written by American musician Prince, using the pseudonym "Christopher". Originally intended for the group Apollonia 6 in 1984, he offered the song to The Bangles two years later. Lyrically, it describes a woman who is waking up to go to work on Monday, wishing it were still Sunday where she could relax.
