Trade in process is easy. I traded in an old Hero 1. I just went to their web site and did ordered one with the trade in, printed out the label and took it to the FedEx place and they packaged it up and shipped it out. I didn't have to pay extra. When they received the old camera they shipped out the new one and charged my card. The old camera doesn't even have to work.

They shut me down. Said the trade in/up was only good for the fusion model. Thanks for the response. Cheers.

That's weird. I traded in on the Hero 7. Must have been a very short time offer. I was in like within a couple of hours after the Hero 7 went up on their web site (mostly by accident).
