Just finished watching The Undoing (miniseries/6 episodes) on HBO. The show stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.

Murder/Mystery.

I thought it was great.
Thought “Undoing” was excellent 👌

Watched a movie the other night by Ron Howard based on a true story. “Hillbilly Elegy”
Incredible story. Amy Adams, Glenn Close. What this kid went through growing up and what he accomplished is very heartwarming

My girlfriend and I watched the Americans and were hooked, older series but neither of us watched it before. It’s on prime. Really good.

Been watching a sitcom called Kim's Convenience on Netflix. Its originally a Canadian show. It might not be for everyone, its about some Korean immigrants and their first generation adult kids in Toronto. Short 20 minute episodes that are easy to watch. Its well written with good characters.
I recommended that show as some g rated good comedy for the family a few pages back.

We finished Queen’s Gambit. That was an excellent series. Probably my favorite one in quite a while.

Ha, I just watched one of the Saved by The Bell reboots this weekend. I did like it but do not want to pay for Peackock to watch the others.

Watched Wheels of fortune over the weekend, stupid comedy but kept me entertained. Lucas oils and Injen must have sponsored it but not to bad i guess.

I just finished Ted Lasso. I think it’s on Apple TV. I loved everything about it.

I recommend "The Serpent" it's on BBC in the UK at the moment, a true story of con man and murderer Charles Sobraj who killed mainly western travellers in the '70s across east Asia on the hippy trail. Very good.

hooked on Halt and Catch Fire right now. It's on Netflix, originally an AMC number that used to follow Breaking Bad I believe. It's interesting enough to waste time on when I've got nothing else to do.

Can't wait for the next season of Succession but that's a long ways off.

We just started our 3rd lockdown now, so I have started binging shows I never got around to watching.
Did season 1 of The Wire. Really good, despite the clichès of an alcoholic detective with a divorce case, and the regular superiors that wish to close down a case. Will watch season 2 this week.

Also started Sopranos season 1. Can tell this will be my favorite, funny yet serious in a way.

Just came here to say the same thing. Wow. Pure evil man. And really interesting to see how the media is in some ways complicit. Very good documentary on the Night Stalker.

Just to add, there wasn’t a lot about the Night Stalker himself, his childhood, etc. And not a ton about the crimes. This documentary is focused on the people trying to apprehend him and the victims. There are many crime scene photos and descriptions that will make you feel very uneasy and quite angry.

It’s a very well done documentary.

I took my gun out of my safe and slept with it next to my bed. I was scared shitless after watching that show.

The Wire is an incredible series, well worth watching all of them- it does not fizzle out at the end like many other series.

And Sopranos is probably the #1 series GOAT.

And I will second the other reference to "Halt and Catch Fire" on AMC (originally). Series about the founding of the early 80's computer icons, not factual to specific companies but very relevant to the general history with some great story lines and twists. If you grew up in the 80's it will seem very real.

Don't know if anyone else already mentioned, but we are at episode 4 of limited series "Your Honor" and some crazy shit is going down.... Will try this weekend to finish that one and see how it turns out.

Thanks for the tips! I needed a break and binged Generation Kill. Damn that was awesome! Good break between the two aforementioned. Watched The pacific a few weeks ago, and it just wasn´t the same as Band of Brothers or Generation Kill. But the last half was pretty good. Worth it, I´d say

I studied JD Vance and that book heavily for an Appalachian literature class and they totally dropped the ball on the movie in my opinion. Its like netflix was scared to get political, its hardly the same thing. It wasn’t bad its just a shame it completely misses the mark compared to the book.

Watched Wandavision and actually think its pretty clever. Superhero's in 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s... sitcoms. Its comic book like and have to know that when watching these types of shows.

My Mom loves "Your Honor"... I'm just waiting for season 5 of "Better Call Saul" to drop on Netflix.
