Hold your little furry friends tight guys.

Our dear little Banjo bear has passed. He was attacked by another dog and died instantly. I pulled the other dog off, happened right at my feet.

We’re devastated. My daughter is still crying, my Wife is consoling her in bed now. I finally got my son to sleep... and then buried our little guy in the orchard under a lemon tree.

I’m so fucking sad. He was only 5 months old and his star shone so bright, everyone loved him the moment they saw him and he thought everyone was his best friend too. My Daughter has been struggling with anxiety at school and Banjo had all but cured it, we’re dreading school drop off tomorrow.

Please give your little friends a pat and a cuddle for us down here, we’re very sad and miss out little bear so much.

Thanks guys. I can’t stop crying, he’d normally be on my lap right now as I work. I’m so sad and our kids and my Wife are just devastated.

Emmylou had latched on to him so much, he had really changed her life and provided her with so much this last few months. Ej is four years old and somehow now understands, he thought we picked him up from the vet and he was just having a rest. Mandi told him he’d gone to heaven and he lost it. I could barely hold myself together as he sobbed through dinner.

RIP our little Banjo. We miss you dearly.

Crush, in times like this and the whole family devastated especially the kids, the best thing to help overcome this sudden sadness would be to rescue a puppy.
This is a different situation then owning a dog for 12 years and having to put him down and you need some time to reflect and grieve....

It won't replace Banjo but help ease the sadness and bring some smiles and laughter to the kids and You.
And you would be doing a great thing for a puppy. Win Win

Just a thought, take care.

Thanks Gary. We're just so bummed out. I'd be down anyways but seeing my kids like this is the ticker.

We actually tried adoption a few times prior to Banjo, but my kids have allergies and I have asthma so it's tough to find hypo-allerginic breeds for adoption, just super rare, only saw three in two years of looking.... and then Covid drove the puppy market crazy down here. A $1k dog is now $3k. $3k dogs now $6+... we were lucky to find him for a reasonable price from a good breeder.

We're not going to try for another straight away as we don't want to send the wrong message to the kids, and we all need to grieve for him... but it's tough. My Mother in law just dropped by with her Cavoodle Benji who we lived with for years and I hung out with him for an hour or so just now.... Gosh I miss him but was nice to see Benji as always, he's a lovely pup.

Give your doggos a hug for me and my tribe fellas!

Will do Crush hope another pup finds you guys when the timing is right. Sorry you guys are going through this, I know it’s not easy.

Beans is growing like a weed and chewing up our daughters shit like a champ. I think he might be a big guy, he’s 4 months and 40lbs. And he’s got some long ass legs.

Always had Australian Shepard’s, found this little guy on the street when he was young. Took him in and he is amazing. Named him George Henry

Got this all black German Shepherd a couple weeks ago. He's only 3 months old and already his paws are as big as my friends 74lb female shepherd and he's bigger(but still super skinny) than my 35lb Shiba Inu (a 13 year old moose of a Shiba named Willie). He's a typical puppy and is a little stubborn at times but he seems really smart. Wife named him Klaus. He's attached to my hip when I'm at home and attached to our 6 year old daughter any other time, which is good because I wanted a scary shadow to follow her around. He's already worked wonders, two of my least favorite of her neighborhood friends are terrified of dogs and haven't set foot in my yard since.

Thanks mate. Gets a little easier each day but it's just so shit. I wish I could have moved quicker, he'd still be on my lap.

That little dude looks stoked to be in the Adventure Box heading somewhere awesome, but the GS looks smart enough to know that sometimes, the Adventure Box ends up at the vet clinic.
