Made in USA, Buck. Even the case was made here.
Even the hat!
Very nice knife.Beautiful.
I just lost a benchmade switch blade that I had owned for over 20 years, was a gift from my late father.
Used it almost everyday,I am bummed.
Nice. My son works for Benchmade so my interest is starting to head that way.
The older I get, the faster I was.
Nice knife, Newmann. Was that a lifetime NRA membership signup kind of deal or just a purchase?

No, that was for a little sponsor support for their local banquet. My go to gun guy that does my transfers for me was out and about a few months back looking for some support. He always makes it easy, I can order up anything and just have it delivered to him for a very minimal paperwork fee.

I was in such a funk after losing my benchmade that my son bought me another. Must have gotten tired of listening to me constantly grumbling about it being MIA. Having a knife in the pocket doesn't seem like much of a necessity until you get used to having one. I use it for so many things throughout the day that when it comes up missing it really throws a kink in things.
Anyone have any experience with this local CO knife maker?

Keys, wallet, and knife all on the night stand ready for the morning

Yeah, I'm all in on that. I'm screwed if I left my glasses on the dinner table the night before though. Will be halfway to work before I realize they are missing.
The benchmade? Man, I use it for so many things during thew day. Cutting open boxes for parts deliveries in one area multiple times a day, helping under a car with a wiring repair, helping the son gut two old a/c systems out of an attic, sharpening a pencil while re-siding a garage...the list goes on. I sharpen it every couple weeks because I use the hell out of it. I have no idea if I left it somewhere or if someone snatched it. Had it one day, missing it the next. Best knife I ever had and it didn't make it but a year and a half. Was bummed, still bummed. I figured when it got replaced I would find it. But no, still bummed.

I hear ya. It would be a sad day if I lost my benchmade. It has been going strong day in and day out for 14 years (I think) I have plenty of other knives but the benchmade always hits the pocket each morning.
Nice knife Newmann. I collect knives including Buck's which I really like. This is my 75 year Anniversary with Cocobolo rosewood handle. Without the engraving it pales beside yours though. I'll trade you and throw in $20!!!

From the looks of his craftsmanship, those knives won't be that cheap for long. The lightweight hunting knife is a bargain if the blanks he uses hold an edge. The website doesn't mention if he forges his own billets or buys them.
Never used off grid before so I can’t comment on them. I have used both Benchmade and Spyderco. In my opinion both are quality knifes meant for for work while showing it’s been worked. Easy to sharpen and will hold a edge. I had a spyderco I would carry here and there buy lost it at a nursery picking up some plants. A worker said they found it. Went to pick it up and they couldn’t locate where they put it in the office.... sure
The old benchmade I have carried for a while just works. It’s the Glock of the knife world. Ugly, no bells or whistles, but just works
