New Tom Petty.......

Never been much of a Petty fan, but the dude is a hell of a song writer.

Looking forward to it. The "Live Anthology" album made me a fan. Great road trip album. The new one is supposed to be an old-style rocker.

You know geeze, I have never been a big Tom Petty fan either. With that said, when I was about to leave CA for OK I was gasping at any good shown that was in town, and even though I wasn't a big Tom Petty fan, I decided to go to a show at (I am getting old and my drugged out mind isn't what it use to be) at of the out door venues in OC, and me and the wifey decided to go.

All I can say is that Tom Petty sounds as good live as he does in his recordings.

Still not a big Petty fan and he is in Dallas tomorrow and I decided to pass.

Purchased his first album, I mean "8-track", in 1976. Remember his first appearance on film in the movie "FM" circa 1978? (at a drive-in of course), been a major fan of his ever since.

One time in the early 80s went to a concert in Lakeland Florida , civic center, was Tom Petty and Blue Oyster Cult, any ways pull up to park, opened the car door looked down and a 50$ bill was laying there, so i looked around, didnt see any body besides my buddys, and scarfed that dude right on up. said thank you very much whoever left that for me, and my buddy says you should split that with me, we drove to the concert in my car, on my gas,i was like no fricken way.

I have never been a big TP fan but the guy still does what he does, very well.
