Well, the knife finally came. Was hoping if would be here on the day of my son Colt's birth, but it worked out. Super happy with the craftsmanship and he even threw in some mosaic pins on the elk handle to dress it up for free.

8 inches and everything from the creation of the sheath to polishing the brass on the handle are by hand. Same knife and builder, but a bigger version that Leo carried in the movie Revenant. Pics are below and the last one is of my son Colt with his new knifes and his Colt .22 single action made in the 70's.

Great looking knife. What type of steel is used for the blade?

5160 I believe. It's high carbon spring steel. Thanks for the kind words!

Haha probably so, but I will be ok with letting them have their words and opinions.... not changing mine.

Awesome collection!! I used to collect knives. When i was a kid I found an unopened box that seemed to have fallen out of a vehicle on the side of a busy road but no information. It was a box of about ten knives of different designs brand new. I always liked to collect them after that.
I even had a baseball game like darts but with Gil Hibbon throwing knives in my yard and it became second nature. My friends would tell me i actually could show up to a gun fight with a knife. Lol Its been awhile but every couple of years i would go stick a few when the mid evil fair comes to the park across the street from my nieghborhood and they have a knife throwing game. Good times.
