I’m watching Terminator 2 and it got me thinking about sequels that are better then the first movie.

You guys got any?

The original Terminator movie is awesome. Dare say the Terminator 2 is better?

Maybe maybe not. Just got me thinking about sequels and if any are better then the first.

Clover field lane maybe.

Pixar movie sequels usually are just as good.

Hard to say tho. Terminator 2 for sure

The Road Warrior. Much better than Mad Max. Thunderdome, the third movie in the series, sucked imo.

You can't have a thread about sequels and not mention Godfather 2. Arguably better than the original, but easily just as good.

I actually like Rocky Balboa better than the prior Rocky movies.

Also a big fan of Bad Boy movies and 2 maybe better than 1?

I might get killed for this but the last episode of Star Wars I think was the best. Just watched it on Disney+. Never been a huge Star Wars fan but really enjoyed that last one.

Since Bad Boys had Tea Leoni, and Bad Boys 2 had Gabrielle Union, I’m going to call them equal.
The scene where Martin Lawrence answers the door to his daughter’s date in 2 was probably the funniest scene in either movie, though.

I agree on both parts. Reggie scene is also my favorite of all three movies. Martin Lawrence is probably my favorite actor.

Back to the future 2 ?
That’s blasphemy!!

But maybe.

I remember when part 2 came out I absolutely hated it. Years later it grew on me and it’s one if my favorites.

But not sure it’s actually better then part one. Not sure it’s even better then part 3. I do think it stands on its own though and I like watching it.

That’s why I put the ?, i think it’s slightly better than the 1st. The 3rd is the worst of the lot IMO.

I would contend that the 1st Ninja Turtles movie was the better one. It had the better story, and better effects/costumes.

That being said, Secret of the Ooze had better fight choreography and lets be honest, dance choreography, and Secret of the Ooze was easily my favorite movie from age 4 to age 10.

I can't watch the remakes of Ninja Turtles. The originals are so much cooler.

My brother was obsessed with Michelangelo because he had nunchucks, lol.

I second this list.

The Godfather 2, in my opinion, was running behind it’s predecessor until the last scenes when Michael permanently solved his biggest problems.

Next Friday and Friday After Next. Personally Friday After Next is my favorite but they're all great

I love the Vacation movies, seems like they just got better every time but European. Not sure what happened to that one.

I like European Vacation. It’s last on my list in the series but it’s not bad.

Release order:
Vacation (1983)
European Vacation (1985)
Christmas Vacation (1989)
Vegas Vacation (1997)

I didn't think it was that bad either. Actually Vegas Vacation is my least favorite and the only one I haven't watched more than once.
