Im not the most knowledgeable about Mountain bikes
I currently have an older Giant 29er
But i just saw this specialized at a pawn shop for sale
For $50 seemed cheap to me so just wondering if its a good bike ?
And if it would be worth buying
It does need some work Brakes need help , im sure it needs shifter cables, pedals looked bad, needs a full tune up
Still a deal or no ?

Not a great bike, but for $50 it will help you get some exercise. Don't jump it too much and you'll be fine.

Specialized Hardrock. It's one of the "entry-level" bikes. They offer a lot of levels of quality and the Hardrock is at or near the bottom. Still a Specialized, though; it's a step above K-mart quality.

Like I mentioned, for $50 it's hard to beat.

OP, if you want to get into a "real" mountain bike and still have enough money to eat again sometime in your future, I understand Dick's Sporting goods has a good one for under $400:
