These dudes obviously had this all planned out. I'm not for breaking the law, especially when innocents are killed during heists but in some warped way I hope these dudes get away with their dirty deed. High stakes involved...it's a long time behind bars if and when they get caught.

The robbers pulled off the entire stunt in less than half an hour.

"We are looking at more than $100 million in documented losses," International Gem and Jewelry Show President Arnold Duke told the Los Angeles Times. "This was an absolutely huge crime. One of the largest jewelry heists ever. We are talking gold, diamonds, rubies, emeralds and loads of luxury watches."

They only did it to feed their families. With inflation like it is you can only buy half the food you used to.

In this day and age it is highly impressive to do it alone and especially impressive to do it without injuring someone. Makes you wonder if the security guards of the truck were in on it.

I also wonder about that. A truck carrying $25 mil worth of goods normally would be properly protected. These two guards turned their back.

I reckon they will eventually be caught. Off loading the loot is where things really become risky. People talk.

Yeah that will be tricky. But black market people are always ready for a spendy deal lol. Some rich oil fuck will want some one off jewels with cash in hand

Kind of off topic and maybe a little out there but does anyone else find it weird that humans put such a high value on what is basically shiny rocks ? I know there's a limited supply of precious stones and diamonds on the planet, and finding them is hard, so that makes them "Rare", and it takes skill to turn the raw material into something pretty. But at the end of the day, they're shiny fucking rocks....

There is no limit on shiny stones( Diamonds at least) , they just let you think there is , so you pay stupid money for them.

Plenty of Diamonds out there, the cartels just want you to think they are special. They are one of the most common gemstones.
