I could teach her about pumping gas if she taught me some things in return.

6 years ago my gramps passed away. he and my grams were married for over 60 years. in those 60 years she never pumped her own fuel. not even once. every Sunday he took the car and washed it, filled it up, and cleaned the interior so that it was ready for her week of running around. a couple weeks after he passed she legit had to have my uncle show her how to pump gas.

the Oregonians that are complaining are just idiots. no excuse for their bullshit. are these morons saying that they have NEVER traveled out of the state? i mean, i could imagine a very very very small percentage of the population with a drivers licence has never left the state... but what about the rest of them? fuckin' hemp weaving triggered hippie turds

My wife has only had to pump gas maybe 3 or 4 times in the 15 years we've been married, not because she expects me too, but because I want to. I always do it for her...and she lived in Oregon when we met...so no pumping her own gas there. LOL

BP handles for diesel are yellow. Green is E85(?)...........almost got me once.............once..........

Living right on the border and having a vacation house near Bend if frigging hate having someone pump my gas. I drive a diesel so they usually just "let"me pump my own. (By "let" I mean I pull up to pump and just do it myself).
I grew up in OR and it used to be a good job for high school kids in the "Full Service" station days. ........

I absolutely had no idea that there were full stations anywhere in the US. I haven't seen one in probably 40 years to be honest. And there are LAWS governing whether gas stations are to be full service or self service? I had no idea of that either. One more example of too many laws.

I only remember running into it in Oregon.

The "news reports" are funny, and I'm sure that a few folks didn't exactly know what to do at first, but I think it's a bit hyperbolic. We get lots of Oregon tourists and visitors up here and they seem to do fine at gas stations here.

Just took a trip to Central NY State and gotta admit... pumping my own gas in windy 1 degree weather sucked. Love not having to make left turns or pumping my own gas.

Flip side is when you are in a hurry in the summer.

I actually have a full service station about a mile from my house. There used to be one a few around years ago but now only one that I know of. Definitely hard to come by in PA and i could care less. I'm happy to NOT tip an attendant a buck or two, and pump my own gas.

Looks like Ruby Rose from Jon Wick.

She needs a couple of cheeseburgers.

So, as usual, I'm confused. They made a law in Oregon saying you have to pump your own gas?

I haven't seen a service station attendant in decades. The last time I remember seeing one it was me. I was the attendant at one of the stations there in Olancha, California for the summer. 1977...I think.

No, they passed a law saying that you now CAN pump your own gas at certain stations in certain counties. I haven't been to Oregon since mid December, but it sounds like there are still quite a few places where you still can't pump your own gas there......

The new law only applies to stand alone gas stations in counties with populations under 40,000, so it won't likely even affect nearly 90% of Oregon residents.

Reminds me of my super-rich Aunt. We were staying with her in Arizona one time and a light bulb went out. She said "Oh, I will have to get someone in here to fix that." SMH.

Had a girlfriend in New Jersey for awhile, pretty sure you can't pump your own gas there.

Truth right here!

Went to Kawasaki race of champions 15 years ago or so. The old man pulls the motor home up to the filling station. I hop out...take the 5 gallon cans to the next one for some premium. And dad starts pumping into the motorhome

All the sudden some guy runs out. Freakin out. HEEYY HEYY HEY. WHAT ARE YOU DOING ?! me and my dad were like—getting gas ? Wtf. NOT IN NJ YOURE NOT.

SORRY in Ohio we pump our own gas????
