Oh boy! The meltdown D's are having over their own immigration policies being thrown in their face is just magical.

Biden has flown (literally) hundreds of thousands of immigrants in the middle of the night to various US cities. DeSantis sends 50 (fifty) to Martha's Vinyard and they lose their minds!

After years of these people preaching about their "compassion" and "tolerance" regarding un-documented immigration, and the constant accusations toward those who oppose it in any form.. this might be one of the funniest political phenomenon's I have ever seen.

After 50 people were dropped off!! A humanitarian crisis!!!

We have 50+ people loitering around HomeDepot parking lot every day lol

Clowns getting clowned by their own policies.

Keep sending them to the “sanctuary” cities. I’m happy for my tax dollars to go towards this effort.

I completely understand the frustration our boarder states are having. Total bullshit they are forced to bear the cost of this.

BUT, sticking people that have LEGALLY claimed asylum, and are awaiting adjudication, on airplanes to undisclosed locations is beyond reason.

Political chess with human beings is disgusting. I am not advocating open boarders...but if these folks follow the laws...they should not be used for political fodder.

The fed needs to step up and relieve the states burden.

Experts said the vast majority of people trying to cross the southern border into the United States are summarily turned back. Exceptions are made for unaccompanied minors, some of whom are transported by planes to be with relatives or approved sponsors — a practice also done during the Trump administration.

They've been flying them to Westchester county in the middle of the night for the last 18 months.

The ebb and flow in the numbers of minors released over the past eight years shows the highest number was in 2021, 8,532 in NY State. Next was in 2019 under former President Trump, with 6,367 into NY, and third was in 2014 under former President Obama, with 5,955.

They should send every single illegal immigrant to sanctuary cities. Since Biden arrived I believe the running total is 1,900,000 and increasing by thousands every day. Put a few hundred thousand n Martha’s Vinyard

I laughed my ass off when I read about how they just wandered away from the airport and into town.

The apoplectic meltdown of the lily white locals who were there when that happened, must have been off the chart !!!

Laughed even harder when I just read where they were quickly rounded up by the national guard, and "trafficked" off to a military base on cape cod.

I guess barack didn't want to erect a tent city on the grounds of his estate, like he did for his birthday party a while back.
Nor did the locals want to open up their thousands of hotel rooms for "sanctuary" for the weary travelers.

They fed them fruit loops, and corn pops, and deported their asses.

The caste system has never been made more clear.

Two law professors and directors of immigrants’ rights clinics, Fatma Marouf at Texas A&M University School of Law and Nicole Hallett at the University of Chicago Law School, walked us through the process.

Because of a public health law known as Title 42, invoked at the start of the pandemic by the Trump administration and continued under Biden, the vast majority of migrants are turned back and not given the opportunity to make their case for why they should be allowed to stay.

Those encountered at the border who have been allowed to remain are, by and large, unaccompanied minors. They typically are taken first to facilities near the border and then transferred to the temporary custody of the U.S. Health and Human Services department, which eventually places the children with family or sponsors in the U.S. If family members or approved sponsors are not able to arrange transportation, the federal government pays for transportation, including flights.

The charter flights are not publicized and sometimes are done in the middle of the night to protect the confidentiality of those being transported and to guard against anyone who would interfere with the flights.

Republicans, including Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, have complained that they were not notified about the flights and U.S. House members from New York asked the Biden administration to stop such flights to their state.

The Washington Post’s Fact Checker reported that sometimes the federal government tries to save money by arranging for flights that land late in the evening.

Most unaccompanied minors turn themselves in to border authorities and by doing so are "actually following the rules of seeking asylum," said Marouf.

ICE Air Operations is the air transportation arm of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which is responsible for the detention and deportation of immigrants.

You cannot claim asylum for economic reasons. They are so therefore they are illegal.

These people were offered the transport and agreed and signed waivers.

They are given food, maps, contacts for social services, and in some cases luggage.

In the case of the those from Texas, they can get off at any stop to meet with family, if they want. I read of one guy going to NY who got off and then flew to NJ.

Seems like a pretty good deal.

Have you not seen any of the hundreds of videos of who is getting off of those buses? Hundreds of videos of who is walking across our border daily.

Those are not "unaccompanied minors". More like adults, mostly single males, being released into the USA to do as they please. The ones getting off Bidens planes in the middle of the night were not minors, they were almost all adults.

They are not being turned away like you reference, they are transported to a bus stop in the nearest City near the border and dumped off for that City to figure out what to do with them.

Those Cities and States that have been forced to deal with the millions of ADULTS being set free, are now letting some of the other "Sanctuary" states practice what they preach. And they are showing their true hypocrisy by crying that it is inhumane to transport them to their "Sanctuary".

When Biden transports them all over the Country, that is praised as being a wonderful thing.

Republicans transport them to any Blue state, it is a humanitarian crisis.

It is astonishing that the Dems crying what a tragedy this is do not see the irony.

The federal government transports adult detainees in its custody from one facility to another, or from one U.S. city to another during deportation proceedings.

The vast majority of people on the flights are unaccompanied minors who crossed the border, requested asylum under immigration law, and are being released from federal custody to a parent or sponsor.

Some of these flights happen at night, but they are not covert operations. The same types of flights were done by the Trump administration.

Lost all credibility with that claim.
And to Westchester…

I completely understand the frustration our boarder states are having. Total bullshit they are forced to bear the cost of this.

BUT, sticking people that have LEGALLY claimed asylum, and are awaiting adjudication, on airplanes to undisclosed locations is beyond reason.

Political chess with human beings is disgusting. I am not advocating open boarders...but if these folks follow the laws...they should not be used for political fodder.

The fed needs to step up and relieve the states burden.

Speaking of luggage ,I noticed on the footage I saw ,a good number of them showed up with the same identical Grey duffle bag.

I haven't formed a solid opinion on this whole deal. Been busy with other stuff.

I did hear some guy on NPR saying the folks that were sent north had no food except MRE's. He said they refused to eat them and he wouldn't either. I had to chuckle. I'll take an MRE over any fast food or airline food. If you won't eat it...you ain't fucking hungry.

You cannot claim asylum for economic purposes.

Your fourth paragraph highlights the suspiciousness of the governments actions.

Below from NYPost article.
This is similar to when HHS, under the Trump administration, housed almost 1,000 migrant children in Westchester — without the County’s prior knowledge or approval,” spokeswoman Catherine Cioffi said in a written statement.

I don’t believe anything The NY Times says to cover up and protect this admin.

I’m sure there are stark differences between the two especially since one admin is trying to get them into the country as fast as they can.
I didn’t quote the times I quoted a heavily rt wing leaning publication the NY post, to illustrate that even from a rt wing perspective it is well known the movement of migrants by HHS and ICE is a common practice between administrations not a super secret special ops drop and run like some here have been convinced by grandstanding politicians.. They’re doing what they’ve been doing under Trump and Obama.

Federal officials say these flights happen at all hours of day and night, and that they don't release details about the passengers on purpose to protect their privacy. Even the contractor operating the charter flights hasn't changed since the Trump administration, they note.

The number of unaccompanied children crossing the border has surged before, under former Presidents Obama and Trump. But the number soared even higher in 2021, topping 100,000 in a year for the first time.

Immigrant advocates say the amount of fear-mongering about unaccompanied children is rising, too.

"That's really just divorced from reality and from facts," said Nagda. The treatment of unaccompanied migrant children from Central America is governed by a federal law known as the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act, which passed with strong bipartisan support and was signed into law by George W. Bush in 2008.
