There are parts that I welded in both the rocket and the capsule. I was really looking forward to this.
Here is some fun data from the trip down in our Model X 100D.
Distance: 728 miles
Energy used: 255 kWh
352 wH per mile average.
Time charging: 98 minutes (should have been 82 but our dinner took longer than our needed charge)
Average speed: 77 mph.
There was a lot of time spent in the 80 to 90 mph range to keep up with the flow of traffic.
We did a similar trip once before but carried two bikes on our hitch mounted bike rack. I don’t remember the specifics our wH was more in 385 range. I’m kinda surprised the rack causes a 10% hit to efficiency.
Looking forward to it. Drove my friends Tesla in "Crazy fast Mode" and it was a thrill for sure.
Was at Pikes Peak Hill Climb when the two heavy hitters had Electric cars and ripped off amazing time AND had issues Future looks good for transportation But all us Older peeps will still have our Muscle cars.
Just think, when Magnetism cars/roads comes into play. crazy
Bikes seem to really disrupt the airflow even if they have a small area.
Fun fact, Tesla likes to use MPH in their charging data with a different definition. The latest milestone is the Model 3 on a V3 (250kW) charger will charge at 1000 miles per hour. So instead of measuring speed, they are measuring distance added per hour during a charge.
