Does anyone here do any laser engraving? I just ordered my first machine to play around with. I bought an Ortur Laser Master 2. It's a cheap Chinese unit, but seems to get some pretty good reviews on Youtube. Anxious to start playing with this thing

Please send us some dope of your machine once you have got used to it. I've been wanting one for a while now and have been trying to balance cost vs quality.

I see your one is advertised at R8000 ex shipping which is about $480 odd in yours.

I ended up paying $386 with a y-axis rotary roller included. Website had a pretty killer sale going on.

we did the hinson clutch cover on my project bike with the laser engraver to add my #. Came out decent.

Years ago i worked at a place that had a laser welder and would engrave with it too. The company hired a new guy who recently sold his painting business , he must have bought 20,000 dollars worth of starett tools . He took them down to the laser shop on a cart and the operator brought them all back towards the end of the day . He took one look and said "Who TF is Sotard? " The operator took out the piece of paper he gave him and sure as shit he spelled his own last name wrong LOL. He'll be reminded every single time he measures something at work LOL.
