I enjoy mine. Bought it to just commute back and forth to work in a big city. Fun bike that has some up and go for a single cylinder. Cheap to maintain but you have to maintain them. The dealer I work for has seen quite a few come in that are destroyed by lack of maintenance.

I drive 50 miles one way. I really miss my street bike but between the dumbass drivers, deer, possums, raccoons, refrigerators, mattresses, lumber, bad roads and 5 months a year of crappy weather...I gave it up.

a yamaha r3 or kawi Ninja 300 or the new 400 with the twin motor might be a bit better on the freeway, but all 3 are good little bikes for that size commute,

Get yourself a 600. Most fun on the streets I ever had was on my 03 Kawi 636.

Yea I used to have a gsxr600. Lucky I’m still alive. Haha. Best time I ever had at 19 though.

These dukes look pretty cool. And for the price seems like a reasonsable commuter bike for the summer. Or just buy an old Honda Civic.

Ive got the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, basically the same bike. It is a blast to ride but not the most comfortable bike. On backroads around 45-55 MPH is where i enjoy it most.

Got the Husqvarna Vitpilen & Svartpilen.
Both are very fun to rip around on.
Did a 370 mile day trip on the Vitpilen in August from basically Seattle to Yakima. Cruised about 80 over Chinook Pass. Super nimble bikes.
Running the Competition Werkes cat delete pipes on both with an Akrapovic muffler on the Vitpilen.
It’s a bit louder but not too annoying.

I always thought the duke 690s from 2008 -2012 (I think it was) were awesome looking machines..
