I'm ashamed...I haven't cleaned this beauty in for ever. My brother gave it to me many years ago. Still sharp enough to cut you just looking at it.

I had this for awhile but kept it at one of my northern properties because I found it is illegal in Florida. It was around $700. I gave it to my friend i got my Alta from after I sold that property and his son gave me another knife for my collection.

This is a Buck 112 that’s been done by a 4th generation Navajo silversmith from Arizona. He makes some really awesome stuff!

dad always carried a knife when i was younger so i started to also. only problem is that knives for me are like chapstick, i use the shit out of them for a couple weeks then they disappear, like dust in the wind.

i recently got a cheap CJRB on amazon, i like the style but i'm not really sold on the action of putting the blade down. i'm sure eventually it will end up with all my missing chapsticks in the void.

Always have one of these in my pocket. Probably have a dozen of them sitting on top of my washer/dryer next to a pile of change.

I use the hell out of my knives at work. I got tired of having to send my knives out to get resharpened so, I bought this Sharpmaker by Spyderco. I wasn’t very optimistic even after the reviews. I will say, it’s been one of my best purchases. It takes about 15 minutes and, my knife is back to a razor sharp edge. It’s about $75 but, I can use it on all my plain edge knives and, even the kitchen knives.

Hit me up if you ever get back to the LA area. I used to work at Hughes Aircraft as a machinist with Ernie Emerson. As the fool I am , I turned down the offer of buying an early folder for $50. Had no idea I was watching a future high end knife guy learning his craft . He would get all excited about the different materials that he was experimenting with. I was too much into riding to care about knives. He got so busy with his knives that after missing so much work he had to quit. I’m sure he doesn’t even miss the few million his pension would have paid off. I’m way overdue for visiting him and checking out his facilities in Harbor City. Last time we talked he was having a meeting with Arnold to discuss the design of a knife for an upcoming movie. Not sure if he got the contract ??

Those Emerson knives are very high end. I’ve got a couple in the back order cart atm lol. The automatic Bullshark is one of them.
That’s pretty cool that you know him. I sent you a pm with my info. Hopefully, you received it.

I've had a pocket knife in my pocket since my pants had pockets.
I was shocked when I got busted in high school for having one. At the same time I likely had a 12 Guage autoloader in the back window of my truck.
(No problem).
Anyway it was funny when the principal called my dad about it.
He told my dad that he'd have to keep the pocket knife.
Well, my granddaddy lived in south Texas. His buddy was an officer and used to give him knives from illegals.
The knife I had was one of those.
When the vice principal threw it into the drawer, my dad shifted gears.

He said, "I will make sure Karl understands your problem, but unless you dig that knife out of that drawer, we're going to have to explain a bigger problem.

He handed it to him instantly. Nothing on my dad said he was a Marine fighter pilot, but asshole somehow knew better.

Couple of my go tos.

Picked up a nice ESEE-6.
A notoriously durable knife.
And a little civivi.

Both with brown micarta handles.

The ESEE is a beast, and feels very comfortable in my hand

I love Spyderco. I’ve been switching between a Matriarch and, Atlantic Salt lately. My wife carries a Dragonfly with the Emerson opener on it.
