Who prefers a serrated or partial serrated blade over non serrated? I'm partial to non serrated for ease of sharpening, and I use it to cut absolutely everything, so it needs attention frequently.

I prefer serrated due to the cutting power. They’re very difficult to sharpen however. Spyderco does resharpening of knives so, I just rotate them out. They come back just as sharp as they originally were.

Depends on the use case, full serrated is a no go for me but partially serrated on more workshop oriented knives is great.

I prefer non-serrated usually but I have a mix of both.

Kershaw Shallot. Seems to be perfect for me. Blade is much more rugged than the Leeks that I carried for a while. The Leek was so thin at the tip you could use it as a toothpick, and I always felt like I had to be careful with it.

I really want this knife.

Not cheap, and going carbon is a bit extra but it's so fluid in my hand. Benchmade eaisly has the best clasp. It's an awesome carry for me.

Grabbed another Spyderco. It’s an Endura with an Emerson opener. The hook on the blade grabs the corner of your pocket when drawing the knife and, opens the blade into a locking position. I’m looking into a couple Emerson knives as well. Anyways, here’s the Endura.

Just started making knifes. This is my second one. Steak knife from a old shop file. Tempered, shaped and hardened. Bamboo handle.

Just ordered a Spyderco Street Beat. It should be here tomorrow. I’ll post pics once I get it.

That is really cool Markee.
I would imagine that file was a chore to grind?

I annealed it first, worked it, then re hardened.

Well, it came today. Not a bad knife but, the blade needs re-worked. It’s not as sharp as it should be. It’s well balanced and the handle fits my hand well. I read on a couple knife forums after sharpening, it’s a good blade that holds an edge well. We’ll see.

It’s awesome!

Lost my SOG seal pup today on the river while fishing. Pissed is an understatement.

Buddy got me another SOG (flash at) for helping him with his car. Real nice, with a deep carry clip but a little big/heavy compared to my others I posted earlier.

I've always wanted one of these.

Ka-Bar is the contemporary popular name for the combat knife first adopted by the United States Marine Corps in November 1942 as the 1219C2 combat knife, and subsequently adopted by the United States Navy as the U.S. Navy utility knife, Mark 2.

Well, I replaced my SOG Seal Pup. I felt naked on the river without it.

Since this thread is about knives, I figured I’d share this sharpener. It’s a Spyderco Sharp Maker. They’re $75 at Amazon. I was skeptical at first. I will say it’s hands down the best sharpener I have ever used. It brought back many of my knives I’ve hammered to a razor sharp edge. If anyone decides to get it, it’s for straight edge blades. Just follow the included, step by step instructions or, watch the DVD that’s included. I used it on all my personal knives, friends knives and, my kitchen knives. My wife hates that they’re so sharp now. But, a sharp knife is a safe knife.

My daughter bought me a Spyderco Fish Hunter dive knife for Christmas.
I was very happy receiving this gift to say the least.
