The great wall of China was built in the 5th Century BC and maintained clear through the Ming Dynasty and still stands today.

Government can't do things like that, it's bad.
I think the term is "Federal welfare," and that's bad
Putting people to work with government money is bad, unless of course you're already a government employee or rely on government contracts in your business, then it's OK
I cannot believe that they could build so much all of those years ago and we can't string some freaking barbed wire together.

Chain them to a 30/40/50/60/70 lb ball, and let them pound posts all day, right next to the welfare types. That'll give them all the motivation to change their lives.
I actually support government assistance programs, but there should be a quid pro quo. Not get free money, and you get to sit at home watching Springer and eating moon pies all day.
