I only listen to the national weather service, and they don't make it sound too good.
Who knows where it's gonna land, but y'all keep your heads down, and stay safe.

I hope everyone remains safe. I have been stressing because there is 5 storms out there. Isaac is looking like a scary path too. Hoping for the best for everyone.

I don't have to be as smart as you hope to be some day anymore. wink

There is an evacuation beginning tomorrow at noon in this county (Charleston, SC). But the storm is tracking for landfall north of here so we’ll wait and see. It will be Old Testament bad if it hits land as a slow moving Category 4.

That looks like a nasty one coming in , and some others behind it. Hope all you guys down there stay safe!

And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I live in the middle peninsula here in Virginia. Almost in the “Catastrophic” zone. Though I think I will be fine, a lot of others won’t be. Luckily my house is sort of close to a hospital so if power goes out, mine will be back on the quickest cool

And to be honest I see a lot of jokes being made about the hurricane on social media, and it is very easy to play along and laugh, but people’s livilehoods and lives are at stake here, and it kind of pisses me off seeing people sharing memes and stuff about it.

Like yeah, show that meme to the person who’s family loses everything, pets get killed, or parent/sibling/kid gets killed from flooding or other hurricane damage. It’s really not something to joke about. dizzy

The Zello App has some channels related to this if you install it on your phone and search Florence.
That's what a lot of the rescue people will be using and others using it that don't plan on evacuating.
Lot's of people on there giving updates 24/7.
If you guys know anyone staying in the area,it would be wise for them to put it on their phone.
It's a good back up to contact emergency rescue personnel or give updates etc.
A lot of folks used it in Texas during Harvey like the Cajun Navy & other volunteer rescue personnel.

And just like that it shifts South. Having lived in Florida my whole life hurricanes change ALOT. Wouldn’t be surprised to see it take a jog north again.

Notice everything is historic anymore while whitewashing history.

Jim cantore is doing 105mph from where he thought landfall would be ,South ,to next landfall prodicksion

The southward shift isn’t good for us. We have a hotel room reserved in Mt Pleasant for Fri - Sun to get off of Isle of Palms. Florence is so slow moving it’s like being stalked by a deadly turtle. It’ll mess up my red drum fishing plans this weekend.

Here’s a good site for storm models:
https://tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=ecmwf&region=us&pkg=z500_mslp&runtime=2018091212&fh=36

ECMWF is the European model. I think they’re the most accurate.

MX training facilities South of the Border & Club MX are going to get hit hard. They are both in SC off 95 at the NC/SC line. Looks like it will be going over us here in Charlotte too.

Weather channel missed it,the 50 yr climate model that says we all drown while choking on CO2 CAN'T predict 3 days out.

All those people that had to leave their upside down mortgaged to hilt house in their 92 camaro told to he ad southwhere the storm is going will never listen to jim cantore again.

Cant be live anymore. Shows the sun going down. Its 11 AM. Most the live cams now show nothing. Last night all you saw and heard was wind, minimal rain. Also reports are this tower is gone....unconfirmed though.

|

My post is my opinion. If you don't agree with it, I'm OK with it.
