Some fried catfish and shrimp for lunch and tried a little different technique of cooking the steaks for dinner. I ended up throwing the steaks in the baste consisting of olive oil, stick of butter, garlic and fresh cut basil, rosemary and thyme at the end like saltbae guy after initially searing and then cooking on a rack above the baste. I also poured the baste in our potatoes too. It was amazing.

This entire day looks amazing. I wish I had a way to deep fry without making a hellacious mess of everything within a 10ft radius.

So I have been keeping up with this thread and decided to post last nights dinner. Tenderloin steaks and sautéd shrooms in cast iron, grilled asparagus.

My mom would use a 1/2 pound each of regular sausage and spicy (Jimmy Dean) for a little kick. Goes great with corn bread. Perfect on a cold winter night. I will eat this until my stomach hurts. Let me know what you think, enjoy.

There is something different about these pickles that we are really liking. Sold at Publix grocery stores.

Common denominator in this thread is CORN. Corn bread cream corn, Corn Cob, Corny con Corn

That bright yellow corn gives that pale meat beans ect Color. The plate looks welcoming.

Dig that Ohio corn cob I miss so dearly

Following this thread has also gotten me into the new habit of adding throw-away plates to the shopping list. Now the dish washer only runs about half the time it used to. Hardly ever used them before, now it has become almost mandatory!

Got home too late. Had to skip the Picanha. Fired up these bad dogs with some southern green beans. A staple round these parts.
