We incorporate a starch and at least one vegetable with every meal. Usually a starch, a vegetable, and a green salad. Meat protein is great but so are veggies! Sides can often make or break a meal

Great smoke ring. Do you put your ribs on the grill/smoker straight out of the fridge?
Pretty much. I take out from fridge. Prep and Season them up. From fridge to smoker is probably 20 minutes ish.

Yeah putting cold meat in the smoker produces a larger smoke ring! Not something that most people know

Did you have to wrap them or anything?

We’ve been making burritos with the pulled pork I smoked. They have been awesome!

Pulled pork, fresh lettuce, fresh grated cheese, refried beans, sour cream, fresh guacamole, salsa, hot sauce!!

Soaked in Cider Vinegar, slathered in sauce, dusted with rub. Grill @ 350 for 2 hours. You can’t brine ribs in cider vinegar like brisket, but 30-45 minutes does magic for tenderness. I put them case up first hour.

Love my smoker, but this is less work.

I ordered a solid cast iron grill grate last week and I’m pretty excited to get it. I won’t tell you how much I paid for it but I will say it weighs 28 effin pounds Woohoo . Needs to be seasoned, just like a cast iron pan.

We don’t do enameled iron around here Tongue

Nope no wrap at all. Low n slow.... in the oven! Came out super moist and the bones just fell out.

Edit: It’s definitely the cheater way but had a lot of shit to do at the same time. Couldn’t babysit the smoker. Perfect alternative.

Love pulled pork. You can make so much different shit with a big ass piece of pork ass! Haha

Food looks amazing everybody!
First for lunch best Philly in years with home grown veggies. Amazing

Then for dinner and race day snack, ribs which seem popular here. I did it a bit different by soaking in in Italian for a few hours, then used my regular steak seasoning a combo of garlic powder, Janes crazy mixed up salt and then added webers Kickin chicken seasoning which we think is best on pork.
Then I put water and red onions in a tray with a cookie drying tray to elevate the meat. I Slow cook until 205 ° basting along the way. Then I coat with Sweet Baby Ray's and cook 10 more minutes. And I quote, " best ever!! I never ate that many ribs in my life " 😁They really are excellent.

Boneless/skinless breast, marinated in lemon juice for two hours. Blackened, seared the mango in the last eight minutes on top, turned it up to 700 last 2 minutes.

We made chicken enchiladas. I tried a few different things with them. They turned out pretty dang good. We used a rotisserie chicken from Costco.

What are biscuits exactly? They look like what we call a Scone?

I had to look it up. Copy and pasting...

So, what's the difference between a scone and a biscuit? The answer generally boils down to one ingredient: eggs. Scones have them, biscuits don't.

Other than that, the ingredients and process are pretty much the same. Both scones and biscuits are usually made with some combination of flour, baking powder or baking soda (or a combination of both), salt, sugar, milk or buttermilk, eggs (if you're making scones) and a fat (butter, Crisco, lard). The dry ingredients are mixed together, the fat is "cut in" with a pastry cutter, two knives or your fingers, and the liquid is added until the dough just comes together. The dough is gently kneaded very briefly then cut into circles or triangles and baked.

Scones are usually not flaky but crumble a bit. Scones are usually drier. And sugar is often added to sweeten it up a bit. A scone is more dense. Biscuits are lighter and fluffier bit firm enough to soak up gravy or other liquids.
