Help Me Identify This

A friend of mine, who sells houses, found this during a cleanup. Looks to be a valve cover or maybe a lifter cover from a big old flathead. I have never seen a "Wood" tractor or anything of that nature. It is aluminum, and very thick as you can see.

Anyone know what it is from?

When I was in HS I worked at a Ice-cream novelty factory and we had these huge ass moters for the Refrigerant (r-50) to keep the warehouse coolers cold.
they were run by electric motors so the piston covers didn't need and spark plug (Holes), looked like this

I was thinking some kind of access plate designed with structural integrity in mind but those tiny mounting holes don't make sense then.

No shit, I sent a few e-mails out. I'll get the part number on the back tomorrow. Seems awfully thick for a retail sign.

It's an inspection cover for a large Marine reciprocating engine I'm guessing.
