Put all the political nonsense aside for a day, and enjoy your family and friends. There plenty of other days to argue things that will never be settled.

Tomorrow I am meeting up with a good friend for early morning coffee, and hopefully good surf. What the hell, any surf with a good friend is a good surf, then Thanksgiving dinner with my wife and 89 year old mother in law.

Well wishes guys.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I hope you enjoy the day with family and friends.

By the way, does anyone drink on Thanksgiving? I went to a friend's two years ago for Thanksgiving and the entire family was drunk.

I like your style! Hey, what window manager do you use? I have been using xmonad lately and really like it.

I just use the plain old default GNOME on Fedora. A GUI is just a place to hang shell/terminal sessions so I don't spend a lot of time playing with window managers anymore. Smile I just upgraded 6 machines at home to fc14. I need to do both of the kids laptops yet and I'll be done. Well, except for my 2 hillclimb laptops but I think those are still running fc5. No reason to upgrade them really. My MythTV machine is still running fc6 I think and I have one other one still on fc10. I don't like changing those special purpose machines too much once they are set up and working the way I want.

I like Gnome too. How is Fedora14? I agree about the upgrades once you get a machine set up just perfect...

So far I really like it. There are a couple of bugs on the base DVD install but are fixed in the updates. There was a copy/paste issue where the the old X11 copy/paste (highlight to copy, middle click to paste). The other bigger problem for me is that on my AMD quad core the DVD wouldn't boot in my VM guests that I had configured for more than one processor. I had to drop to 1 processor to upgrade and then install a kernel with the fix that hasn't been released yet. I go into more detail on my forums about it:

Ooops, sorry for all the off-topicness, back on topic. It really hasn't been much of a Thanksgiving for me. My son had to work (and is still working) and my daughter was going to her boyfriend's for T-day. The wife and I went and had dinner at Cracker Barrel and now I have a glazed ham in the oven for when my son gets home. It's gonna be a late T-day dinner. Oh well, the Coffee Stouts are going down pretty good anyway.

I will read it, thanks. I think I will download it and give it a try, I have heard good things about it. Right now, I have two computers, one running Ubuntu with gnome and another computer running Windows XP/Ubuntu/Debian (triple boot) with Ubuntu running gnome and Debian running Fluxbox and Xmonad. I think I will replace Ubuntu on the triple boot just for a different flavor.
