Im in the market for a new guitar and wanted opinions. The 2 in torn between is the jackson dinky or schecter c1 platinum. Ive played both and really liked both but leaning on the schecter since it comes stock with emg pickups in it.

If it's down to those 2 then you will just have to chip away at the differences. With off the shelf guitars it can be difficult to tell what it will sound like with your strings and your amp but most sound related things are fairly easily modified. I don't know anything about Jackson but my son has a Schecter and it seems like a reasonably well made guitar with solid components.

I've been really impressed with all the Schecters I've played in recent years. They used to be sort of a "no-name" brand but I think they have turned the corner. Good hardware, nice action. The EMGs are a plus, for sure.

Im leaning hard on the Schecter for the fact its a set neck and comes with EMGs off the shelf. The pluses on the Jackson is a floyd rose but more i think it will be a pain tuning and setting up the floyd. The pic is my current setup nothing fancy and only pic i had was with the old BC Rich.

The shecter c1 is a great guitar, I almost bought one . But found a really great deal on a used iromlabel rg Ibanez eith emgs. I would vote the shecter but that's just me . Also anything you could buy would be an upgrade to the warlock lol ...

Enjoy! Nice choice.
I love my Schecter C-1 Hellraiser. It's a solid guitar and has great tone.

Cool 😎 good choice if you don’t plan on using a floating trem system. Those things can be a pain in the butt
