I got out of town and went to my buddy Joe's property down off the Nehalem river / bay. Did 5 days of crabbing and fishing and just eating good and drinking beers.....felt good!!

We didn't get any fish in the boat but had a fellow lot owner next door slip us a 20+lb Silver today , along with the 28 big fat crab we caught.....oh man, feast from heaven. Was a blast down here while my town was covered in ash and smoke from the forest fires. Hope you guys had a great weekend....I know I did!!

Love them dungeness crabs! So tender and sweet. Alaskan King's have nothing on those babies.

One of the things I miss most about living on the coast.

Just got back to the house a bit ago. Was pretty much beautiful down there the full 4 days or so I was down there. We decided early this morning to hit the crabbing one more time before we pulled the boat out for a cleaning. Got another 10 more....and the biggest one all weekend!! Thing was a monster and one of the biggest ones I've ever caught. Look at the size of this sucker in the bucket!!

Wish I had more spare time to get down there now days. Something about just hanging out at the coast and just relax , have fun and put the rest of the world behind. Going to be chowin' down some crab for the next few days too. I've already ate so much , I'm almost sick of it haha. Nah.....not really!
