If anyone is ever in the mood to watch a good documentary on metal from its beginning with bands like Black Sabbath to today's current stuff, I'd recommend the following two documentaries:

-Metal: A Headbanger's Journey

-Global Metal (They go to places where you wouldn't even think metal bands exists. Places like Indonesia, Israel, India, United Arab Emirates, and a bunch of other places)

And if you want to learn even more there's a 12 part series produced by the same guys called Metal Evolution.

The series explores the following:

Pre Metal
Early Metal Part 1: US Division
Early Metal Part 2: UK Division
New Wave of British Heavy Metal
Glam
Thrash
Grunge
Nu Metal
Shock Rock
Power Metal
Progressive Metal
Extreme Metal: The Lost Episode

Great suggestions. All the Sam Dunn stuff is high quality.
I intend to check out the Murder in the Front Row movie about the Bay Area thrash scene.

My longtime friend and a guy who’s been helping me on my remodels for the last few years just headed over to England to shoot videos for his new band “KK Priest”. Drummer Sean was born n raised here n Carlsbad and is one of the nicest guys you’d ever meet. He’s forty now and after playing his ass of in small clubs he is now gonna be in front of some massive crowds….so happy for him.

KK Downing was a founding member of Judas Priest. He will be on guitar and Tim “Ripper” Owens is the singer. Buddy Sean Elg is on drums. Check out some of the videos on you tube if you have not heard of them. They should be putting out some good metal and will get touring just as soon as restrictions allow full venues. Will be out there with some big name bands. Tim was the guy that they made his story into the movie “Rockstar” and was played by Mark Wallberg.

Sean left last Monday to do another video n England. He’s the 3rd from the right. He does/did all my dirty work for me….demo/painting and he never complained. Has the most positive outlook on life and I’m so happy for him.
