That's a pretty sweet looking bike. With that upright riding position, do you still ride it like the ZX10?

As I get older and fatter I have a harder time riding the ZX10 like a ZX10 so this is a good transition for me. Smile It's a way different bike but it's a lot of fun. And it's "comfortable".

Yeah, if you look closely my graphics guy worked 74 into the number plate backgrounds. He did that on my ZX10 as well:

That's really my big problem. I don't even try to keep the front end down on the back roads but I get in trouble at the track when I do that. Definitely go through more rear tires than fronts. Smile

I entered the KTM in the Expert GT race last Saturday. It had rained all morning and the track was about 50% dry by race time so I took the KTM out with the slicks. I hung wtih the boys for a little while but the KTM just didn't have it on this track. An S1000RR on rain tires ended up winning. Sunday was almost a repeat of Saturday weather wise. Monsoon all morning and by race time the track had dried out about 50%. It was very windy though and the track dried quickly. I took the ZX10R out on brand new Pirelli rain tires and destroyed the rear. I was spinning it up down the straight over the hill in 3rd, 4th and 5th. Had good traction everywhere else though. I ended up 4th of 7 which I am actually happy with at that track. I've never done well there. I may just have to keep the ZX10. Home track at Gateway Motorsports Park coming up in about a month. It's a shorter track and the KTM may do better there. We're running sprint races (8 laps) this year instead of mini endurance (25 minutes) like every other race I've ever raced. I felt pretty good and thinking I "might" have a shot at Gateway. If not, maybe the ZX10 will still be for sale. I am in serious need of an adventure bike. Smile

Picture below is not from the race, just an afternoon coaching session:

How much is that rear tire and how long do they last?

A set of those race slicks are over 400 bucks. I get about 2 days out of the rear, 3 or 4 days out of the front. A set of rain race tires are also over 400 bucks and I burned up a brand new rear in an 8 lap race because the track got too dry. That was an expensive race.

Did a little drag racing on a little 1/8 mile track down in Missouri today. Too lazy to edit video but here is one of the raw vids from my rear camera:

I had never did an 1/8 mile before. Could quite get it into the 6s. Did a few 7.0s at almost 110mph on the Super Duke.
