Good Gangster/Mafia Movies

Looking for some to watch,
I already watched Goodfellas, Casino, American Gangster, A Bronx Tale and all of the Godfathers.
Does anyone have any sugestions ?
Casino was probably my favorite, I thought I'd enjoy Goodfellas more than all of these but it still is a great movie

Donnie Brasco. I still laugh when he bitches at depp for putting the window down from cigarette smoke and catching a draft! “The departed” another goodie. Gangs of newyork was ok.

Not a movie but sopranos was good if u start from the beginning. I didn’t have HBO back when it started.

I second the Sopranos series. You and others have listed all of the movies I can think of. I really liked Casino also

Miller's Crossing.

Re-watched the other day, really enjoy all the little puns and put-downs from the main character. Fantastic script.

Get Carter. The original Michael Caine one.


Here's one that has a made for TV feel (thus is relatively unknown and won't get mentioned) but is imo surprisingly good; Witness to the Mob.

Some faults but Tom Sizemore's great as John Gotti.

Another vote for the sorpanos series. So great. Someone already mentioned eastern promises which is good. On netflix there is one called deadly code with john malcovich and the netflix original peaky blinders has me hooked.

Not gangster but The Seven Five is a damn good dirty cop documentary that's just as crazy as the best gangster tales.

Casino has my vote for how shit really went down in Vegas and the mob.I type this as I sit a 1/4 mile from Bugsy's place in Lake Arrowhead.

I actually enjoyed this quite a bit. It's funny to see how committed the antagonist becomes to a foreign culture, but a great watch nonetheless

Wow ! I got a lot of movies to watch, thank You guys ! It's a shame that Ray Liotta won't be in the new Irishman movie, I think he did a fantastic job in Goodfellas, and Henry Hill himself said the same thing.

Regardless, The Irishman is setting up to be an awesome movie with a powerhouse cast.

Only thing that could of made it better would of been to add Jack Nicholson.

I would highly recommend the Peaky Blinders series on Netflix. Has a different feel from a lot of other gangster stories.

Also Narcos.
