Awesome. The weather has been great.
Spent some quality time camping off the BRP just south of you this summer. No shortage of bears, Park Ranger said several tracked bears in downtown Asheville almost every night.
Beautiful area.
Tell your son thank you for his service. We are 20 miles from Camp Lejune.

600 miles in to our 900 mile return trip and there is a wreck at the Louisiana/Mississippi border on IH10 west. Think I am about 15 miles back. Gonna be here a few hours....good thing I got fed at The Shed a few miles back.

I just looked on their website and I guess they have branched out to Ft. Worth, New Braunfels and Austin. Why in the hell would you want to eat at Coopers in Austin when you have Franklin's?

I had a great Thanksgiving with some family that came over from West Texas and wished me well. I am headed to Saudi Arabia on a fulltime job in 10 days from now. Hopefully some of my days off fall just right to go watch some MXGP's and some F1 Racing.

Went down to a beach near my house and got some aerial footage of a few surfers.

Great video!! The drone cam, what a revolutuion. Good waves for 3 days straight. You know I have thought about drone shark survelliance, and in CA it is being done at one beach. After Mick Fannings shark attack during a live broadcast (they had a drone rolling) I think its a great idea to get an ariel view to see if there are any huge fish in the water.

Hmmm, not sure.
I think there is a satellite lot at Keystone, but I get there so freaking early that I always go to the free parking lot.

That may actually be Breckenridge you are thinking of?
There is a free gravel lot outside of town and you catch the bus to the gondola.

Not Breckenridge, stayed in town back in the day. Visited summer of 14 as well. Usually go to SoCO. But have hit Telluride, Vail, Aspen, Breck, and I think Copper and Keystone. So beautiful. Was skiing then, did not start boarding until early 90's I think. Had to bail on Taos as they did not allow snowboards, and found my Nirvana at Wolf Creek. Purgatory is awesome, they all are.

Very cool; yeah I got a chance to meet Bobby and his wife back when MiniCoop was still on 85's.

I did a few sweeping high shots over the water just for that very reason.
I wanted to see what was under there but the water is pretty cold up here now for sharks.

Thought I might actually see some seals but so far none.

Brings back good memories. I spent 2 years in Summit county had a 3 mountain pass both winters plus I did a lot of back country riding back then. Loved it up there.

Spent Thursday and Friday making sure equipment didn't freeze while we were running skeleton crews for the holiday. Saturday had the in laws plus my family all over for dinner! Now to work on those pesky Christmas lights! Hope everyone had an awesome thanksgiving!
