Been taking the little dude fishing the past few weeks. I'm trying to keep the trips short and in the evenings when it's not too hot so I don't take the fun out of it, and we've been picking up some reds tossing the gold spoon in some ponds. Just got back from a trip this evening and he caught a nice 28 incher.

Reds are fun as hell to catch. Put up a pretty decent fight.

Yep, that's about all I do with my boat - hit the reds in shallow water on a gold spoon. I do some other fishing with a buddy of mine about an hour from my house, and with him we catch a lot of trout. Went last Sunday and took home 20 specks in the 3 lb. range. My freezer is stocked now, so it's back to hitting the reds. I've got a 16 ft. flat, and even with that I've got trouble getting into some of the ponds I fish. The shallower the water, the more fun it is fighting them.

For reds I use a weedless gold spoon with a soft tail attached.
