It’s been a rough couple of months dealing with stomach problems to say the least. I’ve had insane nausea and upper stomach Pain and was told by the GI Doctor that I have gastritis or stomach lining inflammation. I’m just wondering if anyone else in here has had experience with this and if so what did you do to heal your stomach? I’ve been trying to eat very boring and bland (No coffee, fried foods etc.) but it’s very hard as you can imagine, I’m open to suggestions if it will help me get back to riding and normal life as soon as possible.
Edit: and decreased stress levels
My wife has been really bad sick too. She has something wrong with with her stomach, intestins. Had her to see two specialist. Really hard to get in front of a Dr. with all the Corvid crap. First one would have let her die, my wifes kidney function got down to 37 percent she was so dehydrated. Kidneys fail at about 15%.
Found another Dr. that came highly recommended. She won't shut up long enough for my wife to tell her how long this has been going on or answer any quesitons. Wouldn't even look at the test the first Dr. did, told my wife she didnt even want to look at them. Took her back to see her today for the second time. She didn't even have all the test results in front of her and argued with my wife she did. My wife said, you ordered 4 different tests, you only have three. My wife heard one of the aids tell the Dr. as she was walking out here is the other test. More test next week to check Kidney function improvment and other stuff.
I am really concerned my wife if has something bad wrong with her, she's been really sick for two weeks. With all that said, she seems to feel better this week than last week. Everything she eats still just goes straight through her. Its all she can do to take a shower and get dressed, she can't even drive herself to the Dr.

Did she have a colonoscopy/endoscopy? Does she get nausea or just pain?
The Shop
Do you have celiacs disease? If not, gluten free isn’t necessary, likely won’t help.
Usually they say something like "Oh, all my friends are going gluten free too!", or they roll their eyes like it's such a bother.
My wife is Celiac, and that shit is horrible.
Generally it’s an immune response so they want you to get allergy tested in your main goal is probably going to be avoid those triggers so the allergy testing will be very helpful. It might be a simple as you just avoiding those triggers and you don’t need any other treatment which would be a homerun but if you can’t find the trigger then that’s when Theyll probably Start progression of other treatment. Possibly going to steroids.
Acid suppression > topical glucocorticoids > biologic agents.
New biological are pretty wild how they work.
But you really need to get a really good relationship with your specialist and make sure they know when you’re trying other things Id keep a really good log.
I also took a deslaxonprasol pill every morning for 90 days.
Im off the treatment for 60 days and feeling great.
Pit Row
There are disorders where too much acid is produced zollinger ellison syndrome, hypertrophic gastritis, food allergies, or reflux of bile from duodenum into stomach.
Poor gastric emptying / gastroparesis allows food to sit too long in the stomach and can cause your symptoms.
As mentioned, ibuprofen or other NSAIDS wreck the stomach. Alcohol is also not good for stomach.
It comes down to a process of eliminating a lot of stuff until you’re better. Other tests that can help are HIDA scan and gastric emptying.
If you have any sort of reflux the doctor will almost always prescribe a PPI proton pump inhibitor like Prevacid, Prilosec, Omeprazole to reduce your stomach acid production. My doctor prescribed it for me about 10 years ago. My reflux improved but I had frequent bloating and stomach pain.
When my stomach got really bad I had a bunch of tests, biopsies, scopes but none of them led to a cure. I got desperate and searched YouTube and found something that was a game changer. I stopped taking Prevacid to reduce acid and started adding acid with apple cider vinegar. It wasn’t an immediate success but I did see good improvement over several week.
The theory is that when you take PPI’s to reduce acid and then eat a full meal (especially gluten), there is not enough stomach acid to break down the food in the stomach. Undigested food then sits in the stomach and begins fermenting which causes excess gas, reflux and irritation. Adding vinegar will help break the food down. I tried several quantities of ACV and settled on 1/2 to 1 teaspoon in a few ounces of water.
Also, do you smoke or dip tobacco? If so, quit or switch to a very mild tobacco or pouches if it’s dip. Switching from strong Copenhagen to mild pouches was the final piece that helped my gastritis to the point that my stomach feels normal even after a big meal.
Hope you find your cure. It’s a bad thing to deal with and live a normal way of life.
As for muscle aches and pains, nicotine is a big contributor to that. You can search the web and find a ton of articles.
On an important side note, I recently discovered that nicotine constricts the blood vessels which causes increased heart rate and higher blood pressure. Not good for riding motocross.
Certain foods mess her up. Seeds I think are bad.
