Tonight, Winter Is Here!

Anyone else here as pumped as I am for season 7? I figure this can be our little discussion forum about the series as we get through this season. It's a popular enough show that I figure we will have a few a few fans on here. Best show I've ever seen on TV, and it's not the type of show I would normally like.

I'm pretty pumped. Hopefully it's as good as we're all expecting it to be!

Kinda a snoozer......

John and Sansa talked to some people.... cool

Cerci is having her floor painted and didn't want to marry the Iorn douche.... cool

Dragon lady FINALLY got to the 7 kingdoms.... cool

Sam Tully emptied a ton of bed pans.... cool

Seriously, I think the longest scene was Sam at the citadel clean up shit and scooping slop on to peoples plates!!!!

Only good part was the beginning with Araya, and the Freys.

Great series. Saw Wonderwoman then came home and Game of thrones started. Good times.

Gotta set everything up for the rest of the season. Was it a super exciting episode? No. Was it necessary? Yes.

I'd rather the season have a slow start and then get really good around the mid-way point. I'm not a huge fan of how some shows (like The Walking Dead) start the season off with a bang and then it slows down to a crawl for the majority of the season.

Yeah I agree that the opener wasn't amazing, but it did set the tone. The foundation has been laid. The cold opening was incredible though. I loved it. Arya is a bad ass.

Episode 2 tonight. The stage is set. Looks like there's going to be a naval battle near Dragonstone at some point this season. Will The Wall come down here before long or will the White Walkers find another way into Westeros?

Sam will discover how to cure Jorah by the looks of it (Jorah was the one who asked if Dani had invaded yet).

GoT is the only show I've ever wanted to keep watching till the end of the series. I liked the "sh*t is about to go down" season opener.

There is a leak somewhere. The Lannister Army knew exactly what the plans were. Varys? Tyrion? Missandei?

I finally started watching season one episode one three weeks ago. I am caught up now. There's advantages and disadvantages of cluster watching like I did. I don't think I appreciate some of the storylines like I should.

Solid show, great scenery and cool characters. Much appreciation for the writers. I think at first and maybe even now, there are way too many storylines.

From what I understand next year will be the last season. I think that is smart. I think it will be very interesting how everything comes together... or maybe it won't.

The Bran Sansa reunion was weird.
Internet theorys suggest Bran has seen something in the future regarding Sansa

Three way with Cerci and Daeneyrs. The tension would be amazing. Yeah, I'm old and probably wouldn't survive but what the hell.

Okay, so what's up with Euron's fleet sneaking up on Dany's forces, not once, but twice! Sailing ships travel at, what, 3 knots, max? You would see them hours before arrival. Doesn't make sense.

And the best dragon slayer this alleged genius working for Cersei can come up with is a giant crossbow? Do they know how hard it is to hit a moving, much less flying, target with something as unwieldy as that? Here's a tip: cover a bunch of sheep in poison and set them in a field near the dragons. Dragons gotta eat, right? Biological warfare has been around for centuries.

Finally, Dany crash-lands the dragon, is spotted by Jamie, who gallops a quarter mile across a battle field smothered in Dothraki warriors. Nobody picked up on the guy riding the white horse?

My wife loves GoT, and sure it's a mythological tale, but even she's getting miffed at the over-the-top hypotheticals.

BTW: my vote goes to Margaery Tyrell/Natalie Dormer. Just something about her is so...good...

Ended just how I thought this season would. Although at the beginning of the season, that's not specifically how I thought the event was going to happen.
