Some sensitive topics going on right now...just a friendly reminder.

I'd like to leave the freedom to discuss here but if users just start attacking others, I'll be taking some action.

Remember, if you're frustrated or over debating / arguing with another member...just move on. Hurling aggressive results or personal attacks just means you have lost the debate as you clearly have nothing left to add...

In today's world, the ability to discuss different ideologies and opinions without just telling the other to eff off is becoming more and more rare. Let's try to buck the trend and discuss topics from all sides without losing our cools.

Let's be better than Facebook or Instagram...

Yep......staying the fuck out of a lot of these threads these past few months , with an occasional drive by to give my opinion .....then I'm out.

To many other good things in life now that it's summer , to sit here and argue on a message board.

Arguing / debating on here helping your life at all? Nope.....no it ain't. Go ride your bikes , go fishing , hiking , take your loved ones out to dinner. Typing your shit out on your phone is literally doing nothing. Go enjoy life dudes / dudette's. We all got better shit to do!

The thing that is off putting is the air of smugness and moral superiority laced in many posts . In the end it's just strangers arguing on the internet repeating basically the same things over and over . Life's too short .

Private Investigators & Law enforcement do it often.
It's faster than getting a subpoena for logs etc if their looking for clues/leads/evidence etc..in regards to deleted online activity. Anything from social media posts to forum posts to even classified ads of people posting stolen property.

It's faster than getting a subpoena for logs etc if their looking for clues/leads/evidence etc..in regards to deleted online activity. Anything from social media posts to forum posts to even classified ads of people posting stolen property.

We've had law enforcement join over the years for the sole purpose of looking for leads and wanting info on dealership robberies...that type of stuff.

Oh I know... but if a data center doesn't cooperate right away they have no legal access to a server. It's just like with a home. They have to get a warrant and then go through the process of searching the free space(where deleted data goes) for the queries relevant to their case.
It takes time.
Sometimes it faster to gather data...just depends.

You can than use that cached data to justify a warrant, it makes the the process easier if you got something good.

"Judge we found this ,this & that he tried to hide by deleting (Screen shots with post ID's)"
"We need a warrant for this machine -> ip/domain"

However,some hosts also wipe their servers free space often.
The more it's wiped and the more complex the wipe it's harder to recover that data.
Some VPN services are notorious for wiping logs that way.
