I really thought that angling the camera to just see my mask was a good idea. Obviously, it provided a great view of my vest. Have to work on that and some light settings. Nice thing was I found out that the bicycling was doing exactly what I wanted it to do, every time the bull would pop one of my feet up, I just comfortably put it back down.

This being a one man show is rough, rider, trainer, videographer, editor, janitor..............

Hats off to you, that was awesome. Been to the NFR a few times and I rather try a big triple than ride a bull ha ha. Post some more, good stuff....

At least I was polite warning the gate man Wednesday night. Normally, I'll tell him, "As soon as my nuts touch the back of my hand I'm going to nod".

Going to give it another shot tonight. I'll work on getting the camera set up at the right angle. Trying to change up my night settings to make it look better.

Here's my new night/low light setup.

Hyperboost
Bit rate High
Shutter 1:48
White balance 4500k

Gotta imagine line moto. Angle it up some. Your body position / head should show us how nuts you are.

Once you get it all dialed in, definitely submit a video to GoPro's "sketchiest line" contest, or whatever they call it. I'd probably swim with sharks before I'd ride a bull. GNARLY!

Here’s the story. My family moved from New Jersey to New Mexico in 1978, when I was nine. We lived in Corrales, NM. My Dad drank his beer at the Sandia bar in Corrales. Owner of the bar was, Steve Chavez, rode bulls. One Saturday, my Dad came and picked me up to go watch him ride bulls. Watching it, I thought, “that’s the most manly thing I’ve ever seen, I gotta do that”. They told me I had to wait until I turned 13. My father committed suicide shortly after my 13th birthday. So I never got a chance as a kid. Tried at 40 to do it but wandered away. July 4th, 2016 at 47 I decided to finally do it. Just wanted to do it once, but I discovered my real passion.

Aah I get it now. Thanks for sharing that and very sorry about your Dad. That couldn’t have been easy for a 13 year old. My parents divorced when I was 13, can’t imagine going through what you did. Good luck, post the go pros, stay safe and maybe buy some stock in Advil, I imagine you’re going to be taking lots of it LOL
