The fight was damn good. But even if it did go the distance that shit was rigged asf. The judges gave Mayweather 2 of the first 3 rounds. I'm no expert at boxing or their points system but that to me is insane.

No way Mayweather should've won any of the early rounds until about what? the 5th or 6th? I'd say. Anyone see it differently?

You do know that if this was UFC that floyd would last about 30 seconds before he was killed.
Floyd is a 40 year old man who hasn't fought in two years. McGregor had 3.5 good rounds until he start to fade and get picked apart. Watch more than one Mayweather fight and you would understand the first 2 mean nothing to him.

I definitely think Mayweather won from the 4th on, rounds 2 and 3 could have went either way. I didn't think that McGregor landed as many punches as it initially looked like, and after going back and looking at it in slo-mo, a lot of his punches didn't really connect. He was definitely active, but not as effective as it originally looked. Mayweather's head movement was more from his own movement rather than getting punched. We replayed those two rounds because we were a bit surprised too.

So Mayweather let McGregor play for a few round before he decided it was time to get real. Afterwards they were probably holding hands while laughing there way to the bank

I don't watch a ton of boxing but they seem to jump in for the stoppage rather early compared to MMA . Even Connor said "let him put me down"

Haha. It was all in fun. My wife put a hundred on McGregor so that made it sweeter. I've been here two days and I'm only down a hundred or so. That's a victory in itself.

I put down some money for the world series too. That will be fun to follow.

I'd have to go back and watch it again, you are probably right.

I saw a scoresheet today that showed that McGregor landed more punches in rounds 2 and 3, but at a dismal rate and mostly jabs. The folks who try to score these things obviously follow it more than I, but it sure seemed like they gave credit for some punches that didn't seem like they landed. Mayweather threw a lot less punches early but landed a lot higher percentage of them.

After the fight, McGregor said that Mayweather wasn't very fast nor very powerful, but was very composed. Odd. He looked quite a bit faster, and actually just as or more powerful than McGregor.

Yeah I also looked at the scorecard today. Later rounds Mayweather much more powerful and faster than McGregor to me. McGregor had long reach that may be why those jabs look like they were connecting?

Fun ass fight to watch. Next McGregor fight, the pay per view will be enough money to support 10 generations of baby McGregor's.

Watched the fight Saturday and was entertained. I even enjoyed the under cards. Still a boxing fan, I guess. Will I get more into MMA because of McGregor? Probably not. If this match helped both disciplines, though, that's a good thing. Forgot how much I liked this kind of stuff. Good company and Ribeyes helped too!!
