The whole "retiring to politics" thing got squashed quite awhile ago.

Sounds like there may be more negotiations going on with the UFC (like we arent tired of hearing that by now) But read this over at mmanews:

Werdum has no chin at all, 3 and out in the UFC. I'd like to see Fedor play with him on the ground a bit because Werdum's JJ is top notch for a heavyweight.

I'm really getting tired of hearing about Fedor. M1 won't let him sign with the UFC because Dana won't let them co-promote, and why should he? So, Fedor continues fighting sub-par talent.

Fedor fought Arlovski, Sylvia, Nog, Crocop, etc...they are sub par talent?

Fedors issue is his managers want exclusivity to his fights, and signing with the UFC would not give them that.

When you fight one time or two times a year at most these guys get old quick too so the run around is just wasting fight time. I hate that part of MMA and Boxing. But sometimes the recovery time is that long anyway then that is different. It's really all about fight contracts and $$$. Fedor is still unstoppable for now.

The problem is the HW division in UFC, they have big ass wrestlers like Brock, with bad techniques, sub par talent as a champ. I am looking forward to the carwin-lesnar fight and I hope Carwin wins, but it is not going to be a MMA fight, it is basically going to be a size fight. If you would do a pound for pound evaluation of brock, he would not make it in to UFC, he is just big and strong IMO, which is of course good to be in the HW division, but still.

Yep wrestling technique, but MMA is so much more, like kicking, boxing and grappling. Due to his size and strength he comes pretty far with his wrestling, but his MMA sux IMO.

Man i had 3 streams going on at once, just to make sure i didnt miss it, and they ALL went down right when the ref said "Fight!". Caught it on replays though.

Did ya see Cyborg punish that blond chick? She was tough as hell but it should of been stopped earlier.

Arlovski- Has lost his next two fights after Fedor, and after his glass jaw was discovered really hasn't been the same fighter.

Sylvia- Also lost to Ray Mercer and really the only reason he was UFC champ was due to his height and reach advantages and lack of competition at HW.

Big Nog- Fought in 2004 (Decision)

CroCop- Fought in 2005 (Decision)

Since CroCop, he has fought Wagner da Conceicao Martins, Mark Coleman, Mark Hunt, Matt Lindland (a true 185er), Hong Man Choi, Sylvia, Arlovski, and Brett Rogers. Hardly the topheavyweights in the world.

The loss was coming, as last night proved. Fedor is a shell of his former self, much like CroCop. PRIDE is officially dead.
