Probably an odd topic, but I ran across an old song by Billy Ray Cirus called “Busy Man”. It’s just a good, plain song:
Not the best vid, but oh well.

One of my current favourites. Sabaton's 40:1 Live in Poland.

The song tells the story of around 700 Polish soldiers holding off over 40,000 Wermacht for 3 days in the Battle of Wyzna at the beginning of WWII. The song (kind of unsurprisingly) was massive in Poland and the crowd is absolutely insane in the video.

A lot of bands to listen to. I’ve listened to Starset before, pretty thunderous sound 👍

Haven’t heard from Tobymac since the DC Talk days.

Had tickets to see these guys opening for Judas Priest. Was really looking forward to seeing them and then Covid changed everything. Some shows got rescheduled but, not Detroit. Flat out canceled.

I like the acoustic sound of the Black Moods. The lead singer/ guitarist looks pretty talented.

Let You Down was kind of a sad video. Good song, the girl in that one sounds familiar.

That was actually pretty darn good. Man, that kid has some mad guitar skills. Is that bluegrass? Good finds

It's bluegrass based for sure. I've been a hard rocker all my life but I stumbled across Billy a couple of years ago and now I can't get enough. All his stuff is awesome. He can rock on electric guitar as well. I think he used to play in a metal band. Smile This video has become quite famous from before he got famous at a party with his friends. The comments are hilarious. Smile

It’s a powerful song for sure. The failures of a son to a father. And the failures of a father to a son.

It’s real and it’s raw.

TobyMac has some good stuff out. His son did pass away last year and a few months after he released that song “21 years.”

You can really hear the raw emotion of a broken father.

It was actually Tommy that led me to Billy. I started watching Tommy vidoes a couple of years back and it might have been this one where I finally saw Billy. I started searching on him and he's inspired me to pick my acoustic guitar back up. I have actually learned several of his songs already and have been working my way up to Dust in the Baggie. I actually have it down pretty well right now including a couple of different versions that he plays of that song (not the party version though). Tommy is amazing. I also like Molly Tuttle and a few others. I would like to see him live but I think being a rich stoner is a requirement. It's 200 to 300 bucks for a ticket last time I checked and I always see a huge smoke cloud above his crowd.

I’ve been on an Iron Maiden kick for a little over a month with a bit of Hatebreed.

Whew, that one by TM is hard to listen to. You’re right, tough one.

For the last couple of months, I've been listening to at least a couple of John Frusciante isolated tracks nearly every day. I was always a fan, but I don't think that I truly ever recognized his unbelievable talent.

VH blows everyone out of the water. Pioneers, innovators of what a lot of musicians copy today.

Been a punk and metal guy my whole life, but lately I've been indulging in 90's rap, old Eminem, and nu metal. I feel no shame. I get bored when I listen to one genre too much.

I like the old time sounds that Simpson evokes. Can’t stand “Bro Country”, but love the older stuff and he does a great job of playing that.

His cover of Nirvana’s In Bloom is pretty fantastic, too.

I have High Top Mountain and Metamodern Sounds in Country Music albums by Sturgill. They're so good, but I haven't so much been into his newer stuff lately.
